Sneak preview of our new unit! Only 3 miles away from our current location.

We’re due to get the keys at the beginning of January and will start the process of building my new grooming studio within the unit straight away. 🐶

The remaining space is being utilised by our pond supplies business - our aim is to install more tanks than we currently have to be able to offer a wider selection of koi, goldfish and sturgeon. 🐟

IMPORTANT NOTICE.......

I have just had a call from a 'new customer' who has managed to book an appointment through Google.

I DO NOT allow booking of appointments through Google, this has been activated through the software that I use for appointment text reminders. I only book appointments directly through myself.

I have managed to deactivate the 'added feature' with Google, but this will take 24 hours to update.

Phew! Panic over!

Hope you all have a lovely day now that it has stopped raining.

Important please read

Please remember if your dog is in Season, has Fleas or is Ill we have to reschedule
You won’t have a cancellation fee unless you only let me know with less that 24 hours from appointment.

Fleas - please do not expect me to welcome them into the salon with fleas - I cannot risk these being passed to other customers dogs and it costs me a fortune in lost business and flea treatment - these costs will be passed onto you.

Bi***es in Season - please keep these at home it upsets other dogs, creates extra cleaning and your bitch may not be feeling her best.

Coughs/Sickness - please keep your dogs at home, any signs of coughs or sickness is a risk of being something sinister and something that can be passed to others.

Please be considerate of your pets, my time and other clients
I will reschedule all of the above without question and get your pooch in ASAP

Customer Update!

Due to the high rates of COVID infections in our region, we are keeping our current policy of wearing a face mask or shield when entering our premises until further notice.

These measures are to protect both ourselves and our at risk customers who have expressed concern over the possibility of coming into contact with people without the protection that a mask provides.

I will continue to meet customers at the door when dropping off dogs.

Thank you for your continued patience and understanding during these uncertain times.

Good Morning everyone

The current Government restrictions that groomers are working under are due to be lifted on Monday 29th March 🥳

However, as you can imagine, my diary is filling up fast with appointments being given to my existing customers who have waited patiently for the restrictions to be lifted.

Priority will be given to those existing customers with dogs whose coats are of the type that need grooming asap.

Good afternoon Everyone

I hope you're all still staying safe and well.

Just to keep you updated, Dog Groomers are still subject to Government restrictions and only able to groom for welfare reasons, or on veterinary referral

Thank you to the many people who have contacted me to ask me to take them on as a new customer, but unfortunately due to the restrictions I am not taking on new customers at the moment.

I believe these restrictions are due to be lifted on 12th April (not confirmed) so I'll review the situation following any changes to the restrictions.

Remember - HANDS, FACE , SPACE - stay safe

Good morning everyone 😁

I hope you’re all still staying safe 🦠

I came across this poster recently and thought I’d share it, as there seems to be a worrying increase in dog thefts.

As you know, when you drop off your dog with me for grooming you are entrusting me with their welfare and safety, and this is why I insist that it is only yourself, or someone I have previously met, that collects your dog after it’s groom.

I do worry when I see dogs tied up outside shops and supermarkets, it would be so easy for someone to take your much loved member of the family.

Remember - stay safe - Hands, Face, Space

Hope you all have a good weekend

Good Morning Everyone

I hope you are all still staying safe and well.

This is just a polite reminder that dog groomers are only allowed to remain open for welfare grooming or referrals from vets.

If I have not contacted you, then assume that I deem that your dog can attend for its planned appointment. Please remember that your trip to me should be part of your essential travel for shopping etc

I am assessing each dog individually in terms of type of coat and any health conditions where grooming is essential.

Once again, if you feel that your dog does not need grooming and are happy to maintain their coat at home for a bit longer please do contact me.

As people are rescheduling their appointments I have gaps in my diary, to consolidate appointments and minimise the days I am travelling to and in the shop, I am asking customers to move their appointments.

Good evening everyone 😃

I hope you’re having a restful weekend.

I just wanted to update all my customers on the situation regarding dog grooming in this current lockdown.

Dog groomers are allowed to stay open for welfare grooms.

The Pet Industry Federation has this evening released further guidance on this ......

🐶🐶🐶🐶🐶🐶🐶🐶🐶🐶🐶🐶🐶🐶🐶🐶

Groomers may accept a dog to be groomed by appointment where this is necessary for the animal’s welfare and not simply for aesthetic reasons. Welfare reasons could include on veterinary advice for a skin condition or excessive matting causing the pet discomfort. When routine grooming can be delayed without affecting the pet’s welfare until the national lockdown is eased it should be put off.'

It is clear that the coronavirus pandemic has moved into a highly critical phase. Virus transmission is high and the intention behind this revised wording is therefore to limit the movement of people and ensure that they only leave their homes for a few reasons. Although leaving home as part of the ‘care of a pet’ was deemed appropriate last week, government rhetoric has shifted in recent days to try to restrict movement as far as possible, with increased enforcement to ensure compliance. This message is now apparent in the revised wording.

Whilst the guidance aims to allow all grooming businesses to continue to deal with genuine welfare issues, the current climate means that it is not ‘business as usual’. We understand that this approach is applicable to groomers working in any environment, whether a high street salon, mobile groomer or home based or one who undertakes home visits.

Professional groomers should assess each request for grooming on a case by case basis, using their discretion and knowledge of the pet to judge whether a groom is required during lockdown to alleviate any welfare issues the animal could experience. Groomers should not therefore be operating in a way which accepts every and any type of grooming appointment. However, through consideration of each case, groomers may accept an appointment if they believe that a delay until after lockdown would cause a welfare issue. Such a course of action meets the requirement in the DEFRA wording that says: ‘When routine grooming can be delayed without affecting the pet’s welfare until the national lockdown is eased it should be put off’.

🐶🐶🐶🐶🐶🐶🐶🐶🐶🐶🐶🐶🐶🐶🐶

Therefore, I’m asking all my customers to ‘work with me’

• consider delaying your dogs appointment if you feel you can manage their coat a bit longer at home - drop me a text to reschedule appointments
• please be understanding if I contact you to postpone your dogs appointment
• read the advice and guidance poster below and ask me if you need any further advice

Thank you for your understanding in these difficult times, let’s work together to stay safe
