Modelling the 'cool jacket' in the warm weather. You soak it with cool water, wring it out and let your dog wear it. It helps keeps their temperature down for a short amount of time.
Always keep a check of the skin temp regularly.
Remember though, please don't walk a dog in very hot weather ( in my opinion over 23'/24' is too hot to walk them.) Even less than this can create health issues depending on the breed, age and medical condition of each dog.
If you place your hand (palm facing up) on a pavement for 5 seconds and it is too hot for your hand then it is definitely too hot for your dog's paws.
In warm weather it's recommended to choose shady places like woodland and/or places with access to water to cool down in.
Please take fresh water on walks for regular sips. ( not big amounts as it can cause bloat )
Heat stroke can happen very quickly in dogs and can be fatal. No dog died from missing a walk but they can from walking in hot conditions.
