🐾 Job Vacancy: Kennels & Cattery Support Staff (Flexible Worker) 🐾

Job Type: Flexible/Relief Staff (No set days – as and when needed)
Age Requirement: 20+
We are looking for reliable, compassionate, and resilient individual to join our dedicated team caring for rescue and boarding animals at our busy kennels and cattery. This is a flexible, on-call position to help cover staff sickness, holidays, and busy periods — availability across all 7 days of the week is essential, including weekends and bank holidays.
🐶 About the Role:
This is a physically demanding and emotionally challenging role — but one that can also be deeply rewarding. You will be working closely with dogs and cats from rescue backgrounds, many of whom have experienced trauma, neglect, or abuse. Animals may be aggressive, scared, and strong — you’ll need confidence, care, and patience in every interaction.
Key responsibilities include:
• Cleaning kennels and cattery areas to a high standard
• Feeding, grooming, and exercising animals
• Administering basic medication (training provided)
• Monitoring health and behaviour
• Providing enrichment, comfort, and calm environments
• Supporting rehoming efforts where needed
🐾 What We’re Looking For:
• Aged 20 or over
• Physically fit and comfortable with manual work in all weather
• Emotionally resilient and able to handle distressing situations
• Confident around animals with challenging behaviour
• Flexible availability (including weekends and holidays)
• Previous animal care experience preferred but not essential – full training will be given
