Thelma is one of our more advanced horses and she is as sweet as they come💕. She absolutely loves a nap 😴 and spends more time lying down than standing up! We are sure that most people have a photo of her having a snooze in their camera rolls!🤣 Thelma is really pretty and moves like an absolute dream. She’s a lovely ride and always tries her hardest for her rider🩷. She spent a lot of time schooling with staff as she can be nervous, but we are so proud of how far she has come in her short time with us so far. She has really grown into her personality and is such a sweetheart to be around. Thelma just needs a little extra time, patience and understanding, and she gives so much back in return🧡 We haven’t had her for long, but we are really excited to see how she continues to progress with us.

Our Pony Stars had the chance to talk to the beekeepers who visit the yard today🐝 They loved learning all about bees and their hives!

Today was day 2 of summer pony camp! After a morning of pole work with Evie, everybody was more than excited for the Best Turned Out competition this afternoon! 🧼 ✨

We think every outfit was fabulous and we are sure the horses had just as much fun on the catwalk! (even Boris🙈)

Benji is our resident golden oldie, but don’t let the age fool you! He’s still full of cheek and character! He fit into life at the riding centre straight away and has been stealing hearts ever since. Benji is an absolute star with the junior riders and small adults in the school, and he really does love his job. He’s also a bit of a charmer and definitely has a flirty side😙 His current favourite is Amber, and he’s often caught trying to sneak into her stable in the mornings to share her breakfast🤣. With his super sweet nature, cuddly personality, and that adorable little face, Benji is definitely one of the cutest on the yard💕

We have made the decision to cancel all remaining lessons today due to the heat🌡️🐴

Anybody with a lesson booked today will have an email regarding the cancellations☀️

All the horses have enjoyed a nice shower to cool off and are now chilling in the field with plenty of shade for the rest of the day☺️

We are a well-organised, busy riding school with over 30 years’ experience, seeking enthusiastic freelance instructors to join our close-knit team for occasional cover. Our riders are dedicated and caring, and our horses are at the heart of everything we do.

🌟 About the Role:
Provide coaching for riders of all levels, from children to adults
Lead group and private sessions, covering lead rein, lunge, flatwork, and jumping
With a strong focus on grassroots riding, we’re seeking instructors who inspire, motivate, and bring a positive energy to their coaching.

As a valued part of our team, freelance instructors are invited to participate in our CPD opportunities, social events, and are considered for future positions. We’re proud of our organised school and lesson system, excellent facilities, and supportive riding community.

📍 Requirements:
DBS & Safeguarding certification
Recognised Coaching Certificate
First Aid certification (desirable)
Evidence of experience and references (to be requested upon application)

Gavin is an absolute little dude! He’s already growing 😅 and maturing so much, and we’ve loved watching him come into his own. This chilled-out guy loves a good nap and is always up for cuddles and kisses. His little face is impossible to walk past without saying hello! Gavin is always eager to learn and gives his best every time he’s ridden. He’s one of our newer additions to the centre and it’s been such a joy getting to know him. He really enjoys a good groom, a bit of attention and is already proving to be a brave and confidence-giving little superstar 💫.
