Precious Rexes Hobby breeder of my pet Rex rabbits. I adore Rex rabbits, their personalities, their velvet fur. Ever My name is Amanda and i am hobby breeder of rex rabbits.

My rabbits are all my beloved pets, i just allow them to have babies a couple of times a year. Their kits are also very much loved and it brings me happiness to let them go to good families.

With the temperature dropping, it may be tempting to bring your rabbits indoors. However, if rabbits are fully acclimatised to living outdoors in cold weather, you shouldn’t suddenly move them indoors.

Rabbits regulate their body temperature gradually.
A rabbit used to cold winter temperatures grows a thicker coat and adapts its metabolism. Bringing that rabbit suddenly into a warm house can cause overheating and stress, which rabbits handle very poorly.

Rabbits cope well with cold if acclimatised, but they do NOT cope well with sudden warmth. Saying this, ensure they have lots of hiding places, use straw to insulate and snuggle safe heat pads are brilliant too!
