CLOSED FOR CRUFTS! 💚

The salon is now closed while we attend Crufts. Coral will be in the salon on Friday afternoon, but any messages left on the salon phone may not get a response until Monday.

⚠️ Road closures and general road works ⚠️

It looks like we have three different sets of road works starting around Bognor on Monday 24th February. We've seen signs at the bottom of the Shripney dual carriageway and by the turn into Queensway, and we also have a complete road closure by Butlins with diversions in place through West Street.

Please ensure you are giving yourself extra time to get to your appointments from next week. As usual, we have a 10 minute grace period for lateness, but anything past that we may have to reschedule your appointment. No show fees/loss of deposits will be enforced as normal.

Well this was an exciting addition to a Sunday afternoon!

I'm very happy to announce that DGN is a finalist at the Animal Star Awards southern region awards this year! We were a finalist back in 2021 and have been very honoured to get a nomination every year since, so fingers crossed the judges love what we do as much as we do.

The awards night is on Sunday 25th May, and we'll definitely attend and have a fun night even if we don't come home with a shiny award 💙

Can't believe how big this gorgeous German Shepherd puppy has gotten in just six weeks! It's so important to introduce all puppies to professional grooming from as young as possible - especially big breeds! This sets them up for success for the rest of their lives and your groomer (and their backs) will thank you for the foundation you've laid for your dog.

Did you know that short haired dogs also benefit from regular trips to a professional groomer? This gorgeous Dogue de Bordeaux had her first visit with us today and I wanted to have a chat about the benefits of professional grooms!

🐾 Health monitoring - a groomer touches your dog nose to tail, and we're more likely to spot changes in your dog's health over time. While we can't diagnose anything medical, we will always bring new lumps or other changes to your attention and recommend a vet visit

🐾 General handling - while we're speaking of vets, being handled by a stranger regularly will simply make your dog more used to it! This could make vet check ups much easier, as your dog isn't completely overwhelmed by all the new things going on

🐾 And the biggest of them all - all that shedding hair is our problem rather than you having to hoover your house floor to ceiling during shedding season 😉

We strongly recommend any dog starting their grooming journey as soon as they're allowed outside after puppy jabs - picking up a small 10kg puppy and placing them in the bath is much easier than a fully grown adult 😂

This is Gigi. I've groomed her since we opened back in 2021, and as with many clients I've gotten to know Gigi's family over the years.

As Gigi came in for her regular groom today, her owner Debbie told me that her gorgeous 2 year old Chihuahua Barney had been diagnosed with an inflammatory brain disease. The treatment includes expensive chemotherapy, and Debbie has set up a fundraising page to try and receive help during this emotionally and financially really hard time.

I appreciate that everyone is struggling right now, but even £1 towards Barney's vet bills would be greatly appreciated. I don't often share fundraisers like this, but as I said, we form relationships with our clients and hearing about such a young dog having to go through so much breaks my heart. I'm sure we can all agree that if we faced a similar situation, the help of kind strangers would go such a long way. ❤️
