Enhancing Quality of Life for Older Dogs with Chiropractic

Emmy is a lovely Lhasa apso, who has regular chiropractic treatments. Seeing her stamina and movement, you wouldn't believe she is 16 years old.

CHIROPRACTIC THERAPY offers a significant boost to the quality of life for senior dogs, addressing the inevitable wear and tear that comes with age.

* Regular chiropractic maintenance goes beyond simple pain relief
* It actively promotes improved mobility, enhanced flexibility, and better overall nervous system function
* By gently adjusting the spine, chiropractors can alleviate discomfort associated with conditions like arthritis and hip dysplasia, allowing older dogs to move with greater ease

This proactive approach helps maintain joint health, reduces the risk of further degeneration, and enables senior dogs to enjoy their golden years with increased comfort and vitality.

(👉ONLY allow a veterinarian with a chiropractic certification or a human chiropractor with an animal chiropractic certification to perform chiropractic treatment on your dog!!!)

Some supermarkets still sell rawhide dog chews. It is very disappointing. It's important to be aware of the potential risks associated with rawhide.
* Choking hazard: As dogs chew on rawhide, pieces can break off and become lodged in their throat, causing choking.
* Digestive issues: Most rawhide cannot be digested. If swallowed, large pieces of rawhide can cause digestive upset, including vomiting and diarrhea. In some cases, it can even lead to intestinal blockages requiring surgery.
* Chemical contamination: Rawhide treats are processed using chemicals that could be harmful to dogs.

Give natural dog chews to your dog instead. Natural dog chews offer a variety of benefits for your furry friend. They can help satisfy a dog's natural urge to chew, which can reduce boredom and destructive behavior. Chewing can also promote dental health by scraping away plaque and tartar buildup. Additionally, many natural chews are made from digestible ingredients, reducing the risk of digestive upset. Some popular options include bully sticks, yak chews, paddywack, dried meat and animal parts like poultry legs or feet, dried camel skin, some vegetables like carrots or sweet potatoes and raw bones. Please note, cooked bones are not suitable for dogs, as they break differently after cooking and they can cause serious injuries in your dogs mouth or gut.

Complementary veterinary therapies offer a holistic approach to animal health, and when used in combination, their benefits can be amplified.

Chiropractic care focuses on the alignment of the spine and musculoskeletal system, ensuring proper nerve function and reducing pain.
Acupuncture, an ancient Chinese practice, involves inserting thin needles into specific points on the body to stimulate energy flow and promote healing. Infrared light therapy utilizes specific wavelengths of light to pe*****te tissues, reducing inflammation and accelerating tissue repair.
When used together, these therapies can create a synergistic effect, addressing multiple aspects of an animal's condition. For example, chiropractic adjustments can improve spinal alignment, while acupuncture can further target specific pain points and promote relaxation.
Infrared light therapy can then enhance the healing process by increasing blood flow and reducing inflammation in the treated area. This combined approach can be particularly beneficial for animals with chronic pain conditions, musculoskeletal injuries, or those recovering from surgery.
By addressing the root cause of the problem and supporting the body's natural healing mechanisms, these complementary therapies can improve an animal's overall well-being and quality of life.
