What a fun day at Blandford Forum Summer Fayre.
Beautiful weather.
Super turn out of people from all over Dorset.
Morris Dancing.
Fire Engines.
Fantastic artisan stalls.
Delicious food trucks.
Lots for the children to do.
Awesome bands on the stage, (we loved them all)

Today's private booking 🐾
Not only did our barn earn 5* for dryness and comfort in the torrential rain, but it sheltered a family of humans who bought along their 12 dogs, some bought from puppies but more heartwarming some rescued from Puppy Farms.

Sorry to all the gorgeous Dachshunds who didn't get a photo from me but heck, you never keep still ☺️

It can be a quiet event with just you and your dog.

Bring all your dog's friends *it's so cute watching the birthday dog run to the gate excited to welcome his friend then run back into the barn to show them all the fun things.

We decorate the barn.
Have a bubble machine.
Birthday Hats and other dressing up items.
We can cater for your dog with our Barkuterie Boards.
Pup Cups
We can also cater for the humans.

WE HAVE BEEN PASSED THIS IMPORTANT INFORMATION TO SHARE....

For the information of all those who have access to the water with their dogs. Please read this important update on water quality at the moment from Martin Stewart who is independently testing the water quality and was sent to all Water Sports Clubs and Resident Associations.

At these levels the water is unsafe for people and our dogs.

‘’We so didn't want to have to write this email but the E-Coli levels have spiked alarmingly in the Stour and our first tests in the river Mude are also very high.

We have notified the Environment Agency and have asked if they could verify our data but tests carried out in the Avon between our Stour tests show our equipment to be working fine.

THE STOUR has shown a level above 100,000 cfu's per 100ml of water (cfu's - colony forming units).
A subsequent test was higher and today's test is heading the same way, We will have the result around 9pm tonight. Remember 500 units and over indicates unsafe levels and over 1,000 one should not be swimming. The other

THE MUDE was also over 100,000 yesterday. Yes, That's One Hundred Thousand.

The Environment Agency do not carry out any regular testing but we were hoping that they would get back to us before close of play yesterday. As a minimum, water sport participants need to know, people with immune deficiency surely need to stay clear of the water at least until we have had the situation clarified.

We so hope we are proved wrong, but we have been testing for E-Coli for a year now and have been getting consistent and relatively low level readings until now.

We have heard of plenty of illness issues already. We don't need it to get worse.

I am so sorry to be the bearer of such news.

Following this email will be another forwarding the news of an upcoming meeting at The Regent Centre at 6pm on the 1st September. Its going to be a vital meeting for Christchurch.

It's always fabulous seeing all the younger family members with their dogs at our venue.
A baby giggling at the dogs running around, some teaching their dogs to jump, some in the large padding pool taking photos of their dogs on the surf board, some joining the dogs in the sandpit, chilling out with pen and paper, all playing together in the ball pit, socialising and making new friends or coming together as a meeting point without leaving our beautiful dogs at home.

Due to the new heatwave coming in Wednesday 12th & Thursday 13th for the safety and well-being of your four legged family members we will only be open 8.30am - 11.30am on both these days.

Check out groups on Facebook for the specific breed of your dog and see what ideas they have to gently entertain your dog during this period.
