Don't feel pressured to take your pooch out for a walk during the day, they'll survive ๐ช Their poor little pads won't and they are very likely to suffer heat stroke.
You can freeze toys, treats, licky -mats, water bowls... There's a lot you can do at home to help keep your pups cool.
Cooling mats are also freezable!
(Make sure to keep them in a shaded spot or indoors as the gel can heat up quicker in direct sun ๐ฅต)

โ๏ธ HOT WEATHER & YOUR DOGS โ๏ธ
With temperatures rising, we wanted to share a few important facts regarding grooming during hot weather.
โข Shaving a dogโs coat does NOT always cool them down
โข A healthy, well-maintained coat actually helps regulate temperature and can protect against sunburn
โข Regular brushing and keeping coats matt free allows air to flow properly through the coat
โข Clipping excess hair from paw pads can help dogs release heat more effectively
โข High temperatures outside mean even higher temperatures inside grooming studios
โข Heat also causes grooming equipment and clipper blades to heat up much faster, which can risk skin irritation or burns if not carefully managed
If temperatures become too high, appointments may need to be re-scheduled for your dogโs comfort and safety. Their welfare will always come first.
Regular clients generally wonโt need to panic-book appointments, as dogs on consistent grooming schedules are already maintained properly year-round.
Please ensure dogs always have:
โ๏ธ Fresh water
โ๏ธ Access to shade
โ๏ธ Walks during cooler parts of the day only (early morning or later evening is best)
Your dog is not suddenly in desperate need of a groom because the weather has changed โ preparation and regular maintenance throughout the year is what truly helps them cope comfortably in warmer temperatur
