Meet the Team – Osian (Osh) 🐴
Originally from North Wales, I recently relocated to South Wales with my partner Tom to pursue my passion and build a career within the equine industry.
With many years of experience working with horses, I have developed a strong passion for understanding horses, their behaviour, and helping them reach their full potential.
Throughout my journey with horses, I have gained experience in backing and bringing on young and green horses, schooling, groundwork, rehabilitation following injuries, and supporting both horses and riders through training and development.
Being a smaller, lightweight rider allows me to work with a wide variety of horses and ponies, from smaller breeds through to larger horses. I particularly enjoy working with ponies as well as horses, ensuring each individual receives suitable training and support based on their needs.
I believe that understanding the psychology behind the horse is one of the most important parts of successful training. Every horse is an individual, and by taking the time to understand how they think, learn and communicate, we can create a stronger partnership and achieve the best possible results.
I enjoy working with horses that present a challenge and take great pride in helping them overcome obstacles, build confidence and progress in their education. I believe in patience, consistency and creating a positive experience for both horse and owner.
My own journey started with my first horse, George, a Welsh Section C, who inspired my lifelong passion for horses. I have always had a particular love for Welsh ponies, especially Welsh Section D’s, as well as warmbloods. I admire their character, intelligence, versatility and willingness to work, which makes them some of my favourite horses to be around.
Through Welsh Equine Services, my aim is to provide reliable, professional and compassionate support to horses and their owners, offering services designed to improve horse welfare, development and performance.
I look forward to meeting new clients and helping more horses and riders achieve their goals.
