Georgie 🤎
Physically and mentally scarred, deeply traumatised, and unable to enjoy her walks. Georgie struggled to view the outside world as anything but terrifying and unsafe.
Her reactivity to cars was the most concerning issue for obvious reasons. Without her muzzle and without her dad's strength (she's surprisingly very strong for such a small dog!) she would absolutely attempt to fight a moving car. That is a fight she would never win.
After working with an alpha/coercion trainer and getting nowhere, her owners reached out to me and the hard work began. Behaviour modification like this takes weeks, sometimes months, and it's so important that the main goal is to completely change the dog's association with what they find to be scary.
Georgie can now walk the streets muzzle free, no dragging or pulling to get home or to attack cars, and her owners can actually look forward to going out now. Georgie's trauma runs very deep, but her owners have the tools and patience to guide her through the next stages of her training to continue improving her quality of life.
Well done Jim, Janice, and Georgie for all your hard work and dedication 👏🏻
