Hi everyone...really don't like having to do this but as from the 1st April I am going to have to increase my nightly rate from £25 to £30...day rates will stay the same...I am coming into my fourth year in August and have only every increased by £3 in the last 3 years... Unfortunately as it has effected us all our household bills have practically doubled and petrol has spiraled as well...I have looked into other companies charges and feel I am still good value for money...a dog walk is about £16 for an hour's walk...we do that at least once daily.. Some kennels where dogs are caged are the same price I charge ....I hope everybody understands why I am doing this... If anybody wishes to cancel any bookings please do so asap ....Thank you all for again letting myself and David look after your fur babies...x

Morning all 👋🏻

With the opening of Jollyes Pet Store fast approaching and wanted to take a moment to introduce ourselves. A lot of you already know us but for those of you that don’t we are a small independent pet shop on Vicarage Lane (just a 2 minute drive or 7 min walk from where Jollyes is opening)

The Pet Shop itself has been here for over 40 years, 22 of which myself, family and friends have run it. We pride ourselves on our very low prices and welcoming attitude. No requests too small or too much trouble for us.

We have very small overheads so although we don’t have the buying power of the larger chains we can still usually be cheaper as we don’t have a huge warehouse and loads of staff to pay. For example our raw dog food starts as little as £2.50 a kilo 🐶

We offer a wide range of natural dog treats, dry and raw food. As well as many accessories. You’ll be astounded at how much we have in a small shop and for so little.

We also offer a fitting service for all our accessories. So you can pick up a dog coat for as little as £5 and be able to try it on before you buy.

So with a lot of you going to Jollyes tomorrow to check out the new superstore (no judgement, I’ll be going myself for a look 😜) we’d just ask that if you do have the time after your Saturday shop, that you nip around the corner and come and have a look at what we have to offer.

And as an added assentive we will be offering 10% off all accessories and 20% off all small animal cages for any customer who quotes “Shop Local”. We can’t be fairer than that.

So hopefully we can turn the worry of a pet superstore opening on our door step into a positive and gain new customers in the process. Remember when you shop local, you are not paying for my second Yacht (although that would be nice) no you are actually paying for my sons swimming classes or perhaps for me to treat myself to them joggers I didn’t get for Christmas.

Hopefully we will see alot of new faces tomorrow. We look forward to helping you with all your pet needs 😻

We know many locals will be heading to big Asda today to check k out the new Jollyes pet store and we were just wondering if any of you lovely people have the time you could nip 2 mins down the road and have a look at all we have to offer. Happy new year 2026 to all my lovely pooches and mum's and dad's....thank you again for trusting me and David to look after them....David is looking forward to his retirement at the end of March and will be able to join me for lots of our walks and more cuddles.....enjoy tonight but look after our lovely fur babies as I'm sure the fireworks will upset so many of them and other pets....I just wish they could be silent....x
