Deborah’s Dog Boarding

Deborah’s Dog Boarding Hi my name is Deborah and I work as a home boarder. I treat and care for every dog I look after as though it were my own.

It’s not just a job to me it’s an absolute pleasure! To look after people’s fur babies really is a dream come true 🐶💕

Had two daycares in today. Miss Betsy the smallest dog in the world and Oscar Bear. Absolutely love my job!

Most of us assume a wagging tail always means a friendly pup, but there is actually a whole silent language happening right in front of us. Learning to read these subtle shifts can truly change how you connect with your four-legged companion.

1. Watch the tension in the spine and shoulders to see if your dog is feeling truly relaxed or if they are holding onto hidden stress.

2. Pay attention to the eyes; seeing the whites of the eyes, often called whale eye, usually signals that your pet is feeling overwhelmed or uncomfortable in that moment.

3. Notice the ears, as pulling them flat against the skull is often a quiet way for a dog to communicate that they feel small or threatened by their current environment.

4. Look for the play bow, where the front legs stretch out low while the back end stays up, which is a classic invitation to interact that helps build a stronger bond between you.

Taking these small cues into account helps you respect your dog's boundaries and creates a much deeper sense of trust at home.
