Dot and Edie were next up in scent class!
This dynamic duo worked on finds at different heights , larger search areas, and a couple of deeper finds!
We also decided to change the areas around for each of them, as we didn't want any cheating!

Back at it this week, starting with Scentwork with Ted!
He's taken to Scentwork really well, so much so we are now on the smallest pieces of Kong for him, and having to think of some tricker finds!
Now we have the Scentwork part, we can concentrate more on some other things with him!

Next up on scent we had Dot and Edie!

We took a break from passive indications and gun oil, and had a play around with our active searches for catnip scented items!

Dot, acted like the seasoned pro she is, wasting no time going on the hunt! Edie, was a complete novice, but absolutely loved searching through all the set ups, and has a very nice retrieve (mostly😉🤣).
Absolutely loved this session, though we did have to get a little more inventive with the hides, watching these two work, was amazing!

At our Thursday Scentwork class this week, Ted did a section on his own, where he was working on multiple finds, at different heights, before being joined by Daisy for a while, to see if all his hard work would pay off.
It might have been a little rocky to start with, as Daisy being there (or maybe it was her mum😅) was VERY exciting, but he settled down, and managed to pull off some very nice indication work!
Daisy, well, we don't think she noticed, so after joining Ted in indication work, she then went it alone, to do some larger area searches with multiple finds at different heights!

Well done both of you, Daisy, for never giving up, even when you get frustrated and to Ted, for putting all his previous training into practice and making some majorly good decisions!

We were over in Thornton this Tuesday for scent class, where teams Holly,Lottie, Luca and Tully worked on large area searches, with finds at multiple heights, with multiple finds, ending with a smaller tricky set of converging finds!

Very nice work! They all worked into source like pros, all acknowledged when they were out of scent, and all found even our trickiest of hides!

We ended last week's fun with Dot, Edie and Flint in Tricks Class!

Daisy was followed by Edie and Dot, who started working on more complex search areas, and then moved onto some deep finds, and finds that were tricker to work into.

Now, we aren't sure which they preferred more, the table searches, or the jungle gym of search areas!
Really nice searching, and working their way into scent, especially on the final searches!
