A friendly reminder that anyone can call themselves a dog trainer. The title isn’t regulated, so it’s important to look beyond the label and ask a few questions:

✔️ What qualifications, courses, or ongoing education have they completed?
✔️ Can they explain the science behind their methods?
✔️ Do they keep up to date with current research?
✔️ Most importantly – can you see the results in the dogs they work with?

The same applies to canine nutrition. Social media followers and confidence don’t always equal knowledge. Good professionals should be happy to discuss their education, experience, and why they recommend what they do.

When choosing someone to help with your dog’s behaviour, training, or diet, don’t just listen to what they say – look at the dogs they’ve helped and the outcomes they’ve achieved.

Your dog’s wellbeing deserves more than just a job title.
