New opening hours from July.

Yes ! I will now be working Saturdays!!

Unfortunately this means my cat/ rabbit appointments are limited to Mondays, but we are still holding our monthly catlaboration with Megan from on the last Thursday of the month (unless there are holidays )

If you have an appointment on a Wednesday or Thursday from the 6th July onwards i will be in contact in the coming weeks to reschedule these.

We are taking this hot weather very seriously.

While pets are in the salon we will have the AC running, pets will have free access to water thays changed regularly, bathed in cool water and the dryers have NO heat. They also have access to cooling mats and a cool shaded and secure yard.

We are keeping a close eye on the temperatures both outside and inside the salon and if we feel its becoming unsafe then we will reschedule for later in the week and offer earlier or later appointments to try and avoid the worst of the heat.

Public Statement

I want to address a very sad incident that has recently been discussed online.

A cat sadly passed away during a grooming appointment at my salon. This was an extremely distressing and upsetting situation for everyone involved, and my heart truly goes out to the owner during this difficult time.

Animal welfare is, and always has been, my absolute priority. Grooming — particularly for cats — can be a stressful experience, and in rare cases, that stress can unfortunately trigger underlying or undiagnosed health conditions. These are not always visible or known prior to the appointment.

At the time of booking and during the appointment, I followed all appropriate procedures and handled the cat with love, care, professionalism, and compassion throughout.

I understand emotions are high, but I kindly ask for fairness and respect. Speculation and accusations online can be incredibly harmful, especially when all facts are not known.

I remain committed to the highest standards of care, safety, and transparency in my work, as I always have been.

Thank you to those who have continued to support and trust me — it truly means a lot.

🚨 Surprise glow-up guests today! 🚨

These two lovely pups popped in after a very recent haircut from another local salon 😬 that needed a little… fine-tuning. Nothing a bit of careful sc******ng, patience, and plenty of cuddles couldn’t sort out ✂️🐾

A little reshape here, a tidy there, and voilà — fluffy, fabulous, and feeling much more like themselves again! ✨

The best part? Watching their owner’s face when they saw the transformation. Safe to say there were plenty of smiles (and tail wags) all round! 🐶💛 so glad to have them on my books so we can watch the transformation improve with each and every groom

Eeek ! I have finally been able to upgrade all my products to .

This is for a twofold reason. The first because my skin has started to react very badly to my previous products and the second ? Because your pups deserve the beat products that play nice with the local water .

These smell absolutely divine and we have something for every pup : one for ye**ty skins, shedding pups, greasy pups , senstive skins and deep conditioning . This is only a small selection of what peanut and pickle have to offer .

All grooms include a warm bath with cat specific shampoo and conditioners, a warm blow dry, deshedding , ear cleaning, and nails trimmed plus styling if requested.

The Cat Grooming Academy has made some extremely important points in their post !

Pet grooming is not regulated in the uk meaning anyone can pick up a set of clippers and a pair of scissors and call them selves a groomer, and as cat grooming becomes more requested and more popular, more and more dog groomers are "having a go" at cat grooming .

Education is so so important for both dog AND cat grooming.

Here at HD pet styling , you can rest assured that I am fully insured , fully qualified, experienced and fully first aid trained both in canine and feline first aid.

I also plan on doing further qualifications and webinars / seminars to continue my education to ensure your pets receive the very best care while they are with me .

🚨 Please Think Carefully Before Choosing a Cat Groomer/ cat grooming tutor 🚨

We completely understand wanting an affordable groom for your cat — but when it comes to feline welfare, cheaper is rarely safer. If you see a cheap price , it’s cheap for a reason 😮‍💨

Veterinary clinics often charge hundreds of pounds for a cat groom for a reason. They understand how fragile cats can be under stress, how easily skin can tear, and how quickly a situation can become a medical emergency.

⚠️ If you see a groomer using a noose or restraint loop on a cat, please consider this very carefully. Cats are not dogs — restraint like this can cause panic, injury, or respiratory distress.

✨Another important truth many owners don’t realise:There are currently very few genuinely accredited cat grooming qualifications in the UK and Europe — only a handful I could count on half a hand.✨

That means anyone can buy clippers and call themselves a cat groomer or a tutor

Please research carefully:
• Ask about feline-specific training
• Ask how they handle stress and aggression
• Ask what happens if your cat panics or becomes unwell
• Ask to see insurance and qualifications

Because cat grooming done incorrectly isn’t just stressful…it can result in serious injury — and in extreme cases, even death.

Your cat’s safety, welfare, and emotional wellbeing should always come first.

If you cannot make it to Northern Ireland/ Ireland for training OR grooming for your cat I will happily give recommendations of trainers and cat groomers outside of my area PLEASE just ask me 🙏
