This handsome chap Goose came in for his first groom with us, and what a pleasure he was to welcome into the salon. For a first appointment, we like to keep the experience calm, gentle and positive so your dog leaves feeling confident and comfortable.
Today’s groom included a soothing bath using professional salon shampoo, a thorough blow-dry, a full brush through to remove loose coat, a tidy-up of the feet and pads, neatening around the ears and sanitary areas, nail trimming, and a finishing spritz for that fresh-from-the-salon smell.
His beautiful chocolate-and-white coat has been left clean, soft and glossy while still keeping that natural look. We’re especially proud of how relaxed he was throughout his visit — lots of reassurance, gentle handling and plenty of praise helped make his first Hunts Hounds experience a happy one.
We can’t wait to see him again for his next pamper session! ✨🐶

Watch Hansel’s first puppy groom at Hunts Hounds, starting with a brush out and then a gentle bath, blowdry, pad clean up and feet trim. We take it very slowly at first to get him used to the noises, sensation and us. He did really well and we can’t wait to see him again in 4 weeks 🐶

Stella is one of our lovely regular Collies here at Hunts Hounds, and she absolutely loves finding the muddiest ponds possible for a good splash about! 💦🐶
Today she came in looking like she’d had a fantastic outdoor adventure, and after a thorough deshed, bath and blow dry, she’s gone home feeling clean, fresh and beautifully fluffy again. ✨
Regular deshedding helps remove loose undercoat, keeps the coat healthy and comfortable, and makes it much easier to wash away all those muddy memories from Stella’s latest pond expedition!
We love seeing Stella’s waggy tail every time she visits – muddy paws and all! 💙

At Hunts Hounds, we understand that getting your dog to and from their grooming appointment is not always easy. Whether you no longer drive, have mobility difficulties, are recovering from illness, or simply struggle to fit appointments into a busy day, we are here to help. Beau’s owner struggles to get to us which is why we offer a friendly pick-up and drop-off service for clients who are unable to travel to us. We can collect your dog from your home, bring them safely to the salon for their grooming appointment, and return them home afterwards, happy, clean, and comfortable.

Your dog will travel in a secure, well-ventilated vehicle, and we treat every pet as if they were our own. We will arrange collection times in advance and keep you updated throughout the appointment so you know exactly when your dog is on their way home.

This service is designed to make professional grooming accessible to all of our clients and to reduce stress for both owners and dogs. If you think a pick-up and drop-off appointment would help you, please get in touch and we will be happy to discuss availability and local coverage.
