🐾 A little July update because I’ve been terrible at posting lately… 🐾

I know I haven’t been posting as much recently, and some of my clients will already know why… I've fostered a little kitten for the time being. Because clearly I didn’t have enough animals keeping me busy already. 🤣

Everyone, meet Salem 🐈‍⬛❤️

He is an absolutely LOVELY, ridiculously sweet little boy… who has also decided that sleep is optional and I apparently make a fantastic chew toy. 🤣

He has kept me up EVERY. SINGLE. NIGHT. Since coming home. At this point I’m running purely on caffeine, cat bites and the knowledge that he’s cute enough to get away with it. 😂

It’s all love and games though, and I’m absolutely obsessed with the little menace. 🥹❤️

Anyway, enough about my sleep deprivation… here are some of our July highlights! 🐾

🏡 Rosie had a lovely pet sit with me and was an absolute angel. Super chilled, super well behaved and VERY impressed with her treat puzzle. Honestly, the puzzle was probably the highlight of her entire day. 😂🧩

🐾 We’ve also had plenty of walks and pop-ins with Bertie & Alfie, including a VERY exciting first for Bertie — his first off-lead session with me! 🎉

…which lasted until we encountered one extremely brave duck. 🦆

And apparently Bertie and the duck had very different ideas about personal space. 🤣 Soooo… back on lead we went!

We’ve now introduced the long line — basically an “oh 💩 strap” that trails behind him just in case he suddenly decides he has somewhere VERY important to be. 😂

It gives us a bit more freedom while still making sure the local birds, rabbits and ducks survive their encounters with the small, fluffy menace who apparently LOVES them far too much. 🐰🦆🤣

And then there’s Rocco ❤️🐶

We’ve had lots of love, walks and, of course, his wonderfully sassy little walks where he acts like he absolutely DOES NOT want to be there…

…until he realises he’s actually having a great time. 🤣

The attitude disappears. The fun begins. And suddenly I’m his best mate again. 😂

So that’s just a few of our July highlights! 🐾❤️

I may not have been posting quite as much, but we’ve still been keeping VERY busy behind the scenes with lots of walks, pop-ins, pet sits, muddy paws, questionable decisions and a frankly unnecessary amount of animal-related chaos. 🤣

A huge thank you to all of my lovely clients for trusting me with your pets. It genuinely means the world to me. 🥹❤️

Now… I’m off to attempt to convince Salem that 3am is NOT playtime. Wish me luck. 🤣🐈‍⬛

One of my absolute favourite things to do on walks is provide mental enrichment alongside physical exercise. 🐾❤️

One of my favourite activities is scattering tiny pieces of treats into the ground and encouraging the pups to sniff them out. It taps into their natural foraging instincts, gets them using their incredible noses, and gives their brains a great workout too!

💚 Did you know? Around 30% of a dog's brain is dedicated to processing smell, compared to roughly 5% in humans. That's why sniffing isn't just fun—it's genuinely mentally stimulating and can be just as tiring as physical exercise!

This is especially beneficial for energetic breeds like Spaniels and Labradors, but every dog can benefit from taking the time to sniff, explore, and engage with the world around them.

A tired dog isn't just one that's been walked—it's one that's had both their body and their mind exercised. 🐶✨

This afternoon's walk with Bertie ❤️

What an absolute gem 💎

I'm so proud of this boy. When we first started walking together, I was warned that he could get a little overexcited around other dogs 🤣

We've taken things at his pace. At first, we'd move out of the way when another dog was coming, using his favourite tennis ball and plenty of tasty treats to help him focus on me instead.

Fast forward to now, and the difference is amazing. Bertie can happily sit and watch another dog walk past without getting up or trying to rush over. He simply watches them go by, then carries on with his walk like the good boy he is. 🥹❤️

Progress like this doesn't happen overnight, and I'm incredibly proud of how far he's come. Well done, Bertie! 🐾

🐾 A little appreciation post for the lovely Zeus & Caeser! ❤️

I've had the pleasure of walking these two over the last couple of days while their usual dog walker enjoys a well-deserved holiday, and they've been an absolute joy to spend time with.

❤️ Caeser is absolutely gorgeous, he never fails to greet me with a huge smile and wagging tail he's full of energy, loves exploring, and is always ready for the next adventure.

🌿 Zeus is the complete opposite – calm, gentle, and wonderfully laid back. He enjoys taking his time, having plenty of sniffs... and making sure every tree and lamppost gets his stamp of approval! 😂🐶

It's been lovely getting to know their different personalities over the last couple of walks. Thank you for keeping me company, boys – it's been a pleasure! 🐾💚

Remember when I had to carry Rocco across the stepping stones? 😂

Well... on Wednesday he only went and crossed them all by himself! 🎉🐾

I knew he could do it because he does it with his owner—I think he was just being a cheeky chops and pushing his luck to see if I'd carry him! (Which clearly worked) 🤣❤️

We had a pop-in visit with Rocco this afternoon in the heat ☀️🫠

We spent the afternoon keeping cool with plenty of sofa cuddles and a little playtime outside. Of course, Rocco then decided the best place to relax was the one sunny spot in the garden... kind of defeats the point, Rocco! 😂🐾
