Good evening everyone,
I just wanted to say a few words as I officially hang up my scissors and clippers after 10 wonderful years at Streetly Dog Grooming.
It’s hard to put into words what this journey has meant to me. What started as a business became so much more — a little community filled with wagging tails, muddy paws, loyal customers, and friendships I’ll always treasure.
I first started the business with my mom, and over time I eventually took full control and carried it forward myself. I’m so proud of everything we built together and everything the business became over the years.
To every single client who trusted me with your dogs over the years — thank you. Thank you for your loyalty, your kindness, your support, and for letting me be part of your pets’ lives. I’ve loved watching nervous puppies grow into old grey-faced regulars, and I’ll genuinely miss seeing both you and your dogs every day.
A huge thank you also goes to my amazing staff. Sue, especially, thank you for standing by me and being such a big part of the business. And to all the girls who have worked with me over the years — thank you for your hard work, laughter, support, and for helping make the salon such a happy place to be. I couldn’t have done it without you.
As one chapter closes, another begins. I’m very pleased to say that Gemma will be taking over the business. She’s a fantastic dog groomer, incredibly caring, talented, and passionate about what she does. I truly hope you’ll support her in the same way you’ve supported me over the last 10 years, because I know she’ll take great care of both you and your dogs.
Although it’s time for me to step away, I’ll always look back on these years with pride, gratitude, and a lot of happy memories.
