Due to internal politics at the AAGB we are no longer attending this event. We will instead be doing a focus on anabantoids at our own auction on June 2nd. This is disappointing as we have been supporting associations for decades, encouraging membership at the events and contributing in a lot of other ways. We prefer to keep focused events within associations but sadly we are now unable to do this for this association
We sadly can no longer give any recommendation and support for the AAGB.
On Sunday we will therefore be supporting the Robin Hood Aquarists Society event as I have done for decades
This is a favourite event of mine and s fantastic day with lovely friendly and welcoming people.
There are lots of great fish on offer and you can check this list on their website.

Update on this product - amonia levels were brought under control in record time of only a couple of days and one large water change. Nitrite levels have been maintained at low levels with a few smaller water changes and will be checked again today.
I am always very skeptical of these magic bullets but given the fact we started a fresh system with high stocking of cold water fish and managed to keep water parameters at far better levels than we would have expected I can say the product definitely has benefits.
Only one fish was lost in the whole process and this seems to have been due to the breeding frenzy rather than water quality issues.

We are currently using cloverleaf in our cold water tanks. Also available for sale in the shop. Bacteria to eliminate amonia and ntrite.

Don’t forget our live food is genuinely live and fresh as it is produced on site or bought in bulk and kept in conditions to keep it fresh and feeding.
Fresh stocks of live bloodworm and tubifex arriving on Friday. Brine shrimp produced on site. Daphnia cultures available so you can continue to produce your own live food along with brine shrimp eggs and hatching equipment
Live locusts, crickets, mealworms and wax worms.

We see a lot of adverts placed by private sellers for very cheap fish food. The prices that are being charged are far less than we can import quality fish food for. Therefore if you are tempted by these offers always remember to Check out the ingredients, analysis, batch codes, expiry dates and where the food was manufactured.
Like all foods there is often a lot of things that get put into pet foods that you wouldn't want to be feeding.
We try to encourage all pet owners to look at the ingredients and the quality of the ingredients used. Not all quality food has to have an enormous price tag and neither does it need to have a big brand name attached to it.
