Hello Birds4U Family,
We have some exciting news to share from the Birds4U Hatching Hub!
As part of our daily routine, we check all of our breeding pairs and nest boxes to monitor their progress and make sure everything is developing exactly as it should.
Today, we were delighted to discover that one of our Green Cheek Conure pairs has laid two eggs in their nest box. Moments like these are always exciting because every successful hand-reared baby starts its journey with healthy eggs and healthy parents.
At the moment, we have two eggs, and we are expecting this pair to lay a few more eggs over the coming days. As always, our team will continue monitoring the nest closely while providing the parents with the highest standard of care, nutrition, and breeding support.
Now comes the waiting stage. Over the next 21 days, we will be carefully watching the nest, checking the parents' condition, and ensuring they receive the best possible diet and environment during incubation.
Once the eggs hatch, we will gradually adjust the feeding programme by introducing additional soft foods and breeding supplements to help the parents raise strong and healthy chicks during those crucial first weeks.
After the babies have spent some time in the nest, the next stage of their journey will begin. The Birds4U team will carefully move them into our hand-rearing programme, where they will receive individual care, regular feeds, daily socialisation, and handling to help them develop into confident, friendly, and well-adjusted companion parrots.
For now, this is simply an update from the Birds4U Hatching Hub. We are not taking reservations at this stage, as our focus is on healthy eggs, successful hatching, and giving these future babies the very best start in life.
We look forward to sharing every step of this journey with you—from eggs to hatchlings, from hand-feeding to fully weaned babies ready for their forever homes.
Stay tuned for more updates from the Birds4U Hatching Hub!
