Halloween is here, and apparently our cats have decided to take their roles VERY seriousl 🎃🐈‍⬛

Unfortunately, nobody told them that being a Halloween monster doesn't make them immortal 😂

Between the extra visitors, strange noises, tempting treats and spooky decorations, Halloween can be a pretty overwhelming (and sometimes dangerous!) time for our little furry friends
So while you're enjoying the spooky season, remember to keep an extra eye on your little monsters! 🩵

A few simple precautions can make all the difference, and if your cat would rather spend the evening somewhere quiet, away from all the excitement, let them!

After all, the only thing we want haunting your house after Halloween is your cat demanding breakfast at 5am. 👻

🕯️🐾 Remembering Our Beloved Furbabies 🐾🕯️

In the Mexican tradition of Día de Mu***os, 27th October is widely recognised as a day to remember our furbabies no longer with us and honour the special place they hold in our hearts.

It’s been a particularly tough year for us at the rescue, as we’ve had to say goodbye to a few very special cats and our beautiful Molly dog. 💔 Each of them left pawprints on our hearts and although we wish we could have had more time with them, we feel so lucky to have been part of their lives. They are forever loved and will never be forgotten. 🐱🐶❣️

Today, we remember every precious moment and every furbaby who made life that little bit brighter.

🕯️We’d love for you to join us in remembering your own beloved furbabies too.🕯️

Its been a very tough year, and a sad one. Unfortunately we have no room and need to carry out ESSENTIAL repairs. We are still rehoming but we have been forced to make the difficult decision to close the doors to new cats coming in until February 2027. Not something any rescue wants to say. Please keep supporting folks, we genuinely appreciate every ounce of support. Here's hoping for a kinder year for rescues next year.

Allow us to be Frank .....

We were asked yesterday about our beautiful Frank. Who is Frank? What kind of home does he need? Well let us tell you 💜

Frank is such a beautiful soul. He came to us as a feral kitten at just 6 weeks old. His mom certainly wasnt feral and Tara found a home very easily. Poor Frank has really struggled to find his feet in rescue, simply because he is a very gentle small cat, in a big pond of dominant cats.

Frank has recently moved into one of our smaller cat houses now which will give him the opportunity to find himself a bit more. If we were to rehome Frank right now, he would need a very experienced owner who will give him time to come out of himself. He is SO gentle. When we sit in the chalet with him he comes and sits beside us. He loves chin rubs. He is still very nervous about being picked up and any loud bangs, sends him running for the nearest hidey hole. BUT, his siblings washington and arizona were exactly the same and have settled beautifully in their home, which makes me think Frank just need a calmer environment and a consistent care giver.

Frank gets on well with both cats and dogs. He is a very good boy and always uses his litter tray.

Frank would need to stay indoors for an absolute minimum of 6 months and even then, one would have to be 100% sure that he is settled before allowing him outside. To be honest, Frank would be perfectly suited to an indoor only home. My only concern with letting Frank out would be that as a very gentle cat, he could easily get spooked and run.

Given the right home and time to settle Frank would be such a beautiful boy and a fantastic addition to any family.
