Rocky is home in time for Christmas!!

This week a member of the public bought in a cat that had spent the night at her house to see if he was chipped. Luckily he had a microchip and his owners details were correct on the database so we called his owner straight away. She was over the moon, Rocky had been missing for nearly a year and she thought she might never see him again! So happy to have been able to reunite them!!

Please microchip your pets AND keep the contact details up to date

Unfortunately Lordswood Harborne and Lordswood Bristol Road are temporarily closed due to reduced staffing numbers in the current pandemic. Please be assured that your pets will still be cared for if they are poorly, as Manor vets Halesowen, Northfield and Edgbaston currently remain open. Please note that due to current regulations no routine appointments will be seen, and if you are worried about your pet a telephone consult may be offered in the first instance. We are all doing our best in these uncertain times, stay safe, stay at home ❤️

This amazing report of a family reunited after 10 years is an excellent reminder of the importance of your pet having a microchip AND keeping your details up to date with the microchip company.

It is thought Peanut the puss had been living "almost as a stray" for a decade after going missing.

This year Lordswood vets have decided to dedicate our Christmas tree to the memory of pets loved and lost. We invite clients to come and write a message(tags provided) to decorate our tree and ask in return for a small monetary donation to the continuing hard work of our local cats protection league. We hope you will appreciate this way of remembering our beloved pets
