TAKE YOUR HORSE TO WORK DAY!! ❤️
A 1st for eveything today competed at Pickering Grange Equestrian and then sheath cleaned 7 of their livery horses followed by some scrummy food from the cafe can’t complain really! 🏆

Don’t let you horses suffer any more, you might clean your horses sheath but are you checking in the right places for beans?

I can’t stress enough how important it is to have a professional check and clean your horses sheath!!! This is just as important as dentist / physio / chiro.

So many people say “ I clean my own horses sheath “ this might be true but have you got my experience and knowledge from the last 10 years? I have cleaned horses who have religiously been clean by there owners and are still missing the beans!

While cleaning your horse I’m also checking for abnormalities and cancerous tumors ( this is very Common and can now be treated with cream!! ) this could save your horses from suffering!
squamous cells can grow in your horses sheath or on his p***s, this can be easily treated with a course of “chemo cream” and you horse may just have that happy ending.

Beans are so uncomfortable and are equivalent to a water infection that never goes away! Or walking round with a stone in your wellie that you just can’t get rid of! how annoying?!

This can massively effect your horses work & performance ,
It’s very imported to get your jumpers & dressage horses checked regularly as you’ll find it will effect them more! A horse cannot use his back end properly when he has a grubby sheath and can also confused with lameness in some cases!!

It’s not just the beans that can cause a problem it’s the buildup itself. Can cause blisters and sores inside the sheath.

As the Karen’s say… you shouldn’t touch your geldings sheath it’s not natural… well actually geldings aren’t natural either a stallion is mating and cleaning his own sheath atleast 3 times a week in the wild ( if not more) they won’t get a build up like a gelding or even a stallion that doesn’t cover naturally.

Some horses show absolutely no signs of a bean

Stubborn
Bolt
Bronc
Nap
Bite
Stamp
Sluggish or to speedy
Sharp off the leg.
