Chadwells Stud Dressage Horses Breeding and producing International quality dressage horses. Talent, soundness and rideability.

We are a dedicated, family run stud, breeding and producing horses for the high levels of our sport; as well as competing our older competition horses. We aim to breed for correct conformation, good readability and super paces. We are expecting 2x 2018 foals by Woodlander Double Bubble; both Dams hold the prestigious Elite title....the foals are sure to be destined for the top, and we will offer them for sale to competitive, caring homes...Watch this space!

A great day on Saturday for Chadwells bred ‘Wanna Be Famous CS’ (chestnut) ridden and owned by Jodie Steel 🧡 they have an amazingly consistent set of results together and add another 71% & 74+%.

Later in the morning I competed Chadwells Zukunftsstar (Squiggs) in only his third Elementary test, (Ele 6 which is the hardest) and he was fantastic.

Some mistakes from me brought our marks down to 68% but delighted to have got so many good marks. He is very new to the level and perhaps not quite ready really, but sometimes you just have to give it a go!

Looking forward to seeing both horses progressing more over the Summer.

A new favourite extracurricular activity for the horsess….
The arena bank is helping to build strength and condition.
We are doing lots of different exercises to engage different muscle groups.
We only do short sessions following a light lunge since it’s hard work for them, but they have the added perk of snacking on the job…

I am also excited to be piloting both Phil and Squiggs in their tests in the atmospheric indoor arena - I expect they’ll both be quite overwhelmed but I’m looking forward to seeing what we can do/learn!

Variety is the spice of life; I love how keen and nosey the horses are on hacks.
