This isn’t just a job working with dogs.

We’re looking for someone who can help lead a growing business, support a fantastic team and play a key role in maintaining the high standards that Harry’s Hounds is known for.

As our Assistant Manager, you’ll be involved in the day-to-day running of our daycare and home boarding facility, helping to ensure every dog receives the care, structure and attention they deserve.

We’re looking for someone who is:

🐾 Organised and proactive
🐾 Confident leading a team
🐾 Calm under pressure and able to make good decisions
🐾 Passionate about dog welfare
🐾 Reliable, professional and driven by high standards

Essential requirements:

✔️ Over 21 years old
✔️ Full UK Driving Licence with a clean record
✔️ Comfortable transporting dogs safely
✔️ Weekend and holiday availability

In return, you’ll join a supportive team, receive ongoing training and development, and have the opportunity to grow with an ambitious business that genuinely puts dog welfare first.

This role would suit someone who wants more than “just a job” — someone who takes pride in their work, leads by example and wants to make a real difference to the dogs, customers and team around them.

We’re looking for a Level 3 Qualified Groomer to join our growing team and help us continue raising the standard in canine care. This is a fantastic opportunity for someone who is passionate about dog welfare and enjoys working in a calm, 1:1 environment where quality always comes before quantity.

🐾 Hide and seek at Harry’s Hounds… 🐾

The rules were simple:
Humans hide.
Dogs seek.

Unfortunately, we forgot the dogs have approximately 47 million noses between them, so our hiding places lasted about 12 seconds. 🤦‍♀️😂

Well… what can I say? Herding 7 dogs onto a bridge and convincing them all to look in roughly the same direction at the same time deserves some sort of Olympic medal. 😂

From left to right we have Kurt, Zadie, Crunchie, Cookie, Kaida, Honey & Maggie — otherwise known as “The Committee.” Every walk I insist on a pack photo! 📸🐶

🎉 Happy 12th Birthday, Quaver! 🎉

12 years old and still looking at me like you’re the CEO of Harry’s Hounds. 👑🐾

Quaver arrived this morning and immediately informed us that, as it’s her birthday, today’s schedule will consist of:

• Treats
• Cuddles
• Snacks
• Snoozing
• More treats
• Looking fabulous
• Demanding additional cuddles because the first lot weren’t quite enough

To be honest, none of us were brave enough to argue.

You are full of sass, personality and charm, and I absolutely adore your quirky little ways. You make me laugh every single time you visit and are one of those dogs that makes this job so rewarding. ❤️

Today you’ll be spending your birthday exactly how it should be spent — being thoroughly spoiled, collecting cuddles from everyone, enjoying plenty of treats, and reminding the younger dogs that age is just a number when you’re this fabulous.

P.S. I still think you should start your own girl band… The Supawmes. Judging by that face, though, you’d probably insist on being the lead singer, manager, and head of security. 🎤😂
