🚨 Parvovirus warning 🚨

There have been confirmed cases of Parvovirus in Dunsfold, West Horsely, Cranleigh, Horsham and the surrounding area.

What is Parvovirus?

Parvovirus is highly contagious and can sadly be life threatening. The virus mainly affects unvaccinated dogs and puppy’s. Vaccination generally does give good immunity however very occasionally it can also affect vaccinated dogs.

⚠️ Symptoms

Lethargy
Severe vomiting
Severe Diarrhoea
Very unwell in themselves

⚠️ Precautions to Take

We ask all clients to take precautions, this includes not letting your dog in close contact with others where possible, not to let your dog near any poo or vomit on their walks where possible and to try and walk your pets in the least dog populated area you can think of.
Parvovirus is most easily transmitted through fecal-oral contact, respiratory droplets and contaminated surfaces.

➡️ As a practice we are recommending that if you have a puppy under 6 months of age, that they have a Parvovirus Booster Vaccination and that if your adult dog hasn’t had a recent DHPPi that they also have a Parvovirus Booster Vaccination. ⬅️

From around early autumn I will have space on a Monday & Wednesday morning.
I also will have space Monday & Friday mid to late afternoons.
