Spot the signs of FLUTD in your kitty this summer! 🐱💧

Is your cat straining to p*e, visiting the litter box more often, or showing blood in their urine? These could be signs of Feline Lower Urinary Tract Disease (FLUTD). It’s uncomfortable and sometimes serious, but don’t worry — we’re here to help!

Keeping your cat hydrated is super important, so try to encourage plenty of water and keep an eye on their litter box habits. If you notice anything unusual, don’t hesitate to reach out to us for tips or to book a check-up. Early care makes all the difference.

As a family-run practice, we love sharing advice and helping your pets stay happy and healthy. Feel free to ask us anything.

Meet Rusty and Hector - the cutest sleepy kittens you’ll see today! 🐾💤

If your cats are snoozing more during hot weather, don’t worry — this is totally normal and a smart way they keep cool. ☀️😴

Cats conserve energy in the heat by slowing down their activity, finding cool, shaded spots to rest, and grooming themselves more often to help regulate their body temperature.

Keeping your cat comfortable in summer means providing plenty of fresh water, shaded resting places, and maybe even some cool surfaces for them to lounge on.

Beat the heat and stay happy all summer long! ❄️🐱

Dogs are especially vulnerable to heatstroke - please don’t ignore the signs. Act fast, stay safe, and keep them cool. ☀️🐾

Frankie had a pesky stick stuck in the roof of her mouth and some baby teeth that just wouldn’t budge. Luckily, we took care of both in one quick visit under anaesthetic. Now she’s back home, happy, pain-free, and ready to chew on all her toys again!

Baby teeth that don’t fall out can cause discomfort, crowding, and even lead to infections later on. Removing them helps your pup’s adult teeth grow in straight and keeps their mouth healthy.

If you notice your pup’s baby teeth hanging around longer than they should, give us a shout — we’re here to help! 🦷
