Breed Specific Traits

As we expect more from our dogs these days we simultaneously have lost the understanding of natural traits that individual breeds possess that will come to the surface as they mature, if you don’t do appropriate training you could be in for a rough ride!

Many breeds were designed to work for people and many wouldn’t survive without humans- but one that likely would are the terriers and ratters of this world!

These are Teckels or wire haired dachshunds and these two took out just shy of 600 rats in a single day 👀😮

By living with our chosen breed we should consider what they were bred for an if we can meet their natural instincts halfway - if you have a dog bred for ratting, have some special toys he doesn’t get regularly and bring them out for play time with you and then put them away, we can create an amazing habit this way!

You can get rabbit wrapped tennis balls as well as tuggys.
Playing the find game really makes these guys happy 🐾🐶
