Me Ol’ Mucker Freelance groom Hi my name is Mel and I am here to help you with your equine friend/s. I am a member of the British Grooms Association and fully insured.

After leaving a career in the Police, I am now offering a service to provide that little bit of support with essential horse needs for when life happens. I returned to riding in 2020 and immediately reconnected with my all time love for everything horsey. I now have my own amazing boy Magic who is an ex race horse and is teaching me oodles. One of the friendliest girls who always followed me around with her sister to get the spoils of snacks before the others were let out. She loved kisses and scratches. Genuinely a lovely girl and I’ll really miss her. Sleep tight Christine you gawgus baby girl ❤️ 🌈 😢

On Friday our yard had to say goodbye to this amazing boy. Mickey was a character alright, he loved to talk to you and tell you what he wanted but always in such a polite way that he had us all wrapped around his hoof. He had a wonderful temperament and loved nothing more than to splash around in mud like a hippo.
My thoughts are very much with his owners and I am going to miss him nickering at me 😢❤️ 🌈

🌟 Important News 🌟

Having already spoken to my regular clients I would like to share some important news.
Today I have accepted an offer for a full time administrative role within a fantastic company. I have a provisional start date in mid February pending paperwork. This means that from this date (mid Feb) I will be closing my little business and no longer offering services. It’s obviously been a tough decision but this was only meant to be temporary at first after leaving the police. I’ve been lucky to have had 4 years of spending time with some amazing animals and so very fortunate to work for the best clients.
I’ll keep you posted and I’ll be making the most of spending time with my furry friends ❤️
