Two new cases have been confirmed

2 cattle in Herefordshire were positive on a pre-movement test

1 sheep in Oxfordshire was confirmed positive having been generally unwell and with hot & painful feet

❗BLUETONGUE - On July 11, two cattle in Herefordshire tested positive following a non-negative pre-movement test.

On the same day, a sheep in Oxfordshire was also confirmed with BTV-3 after showing clinical signs including hot, painful feet, reluctance to move, and general unwellness.

⚠️ Avian Flu - Pottington Business Park and surrounding area ⚠️

We have been advised that confirmed cases of avian flu have been detected in wild birds around Barnstaple's Pottington Business Park and surrounding areas.

Highly pathogenic H5N1 has been confirmed at a premises near Loddon, South Norfolk, Norfolk.

These ewes have had their first one of 2 doses of , to help reduce foot rot this winter. This will improve welfare, by reducing pain and lameness, also there should be reduced requirement for antibiotics to treat the foot rot.
