🌞 Hot Weather Update 🌞
With today’s rising temperatures, we’re making some sensible adjustments to ensure the wellbeing of our horses and riders.

🐴 Daytime lessons have been adapted to avoid working horses during the hottest hours.
🏇 This evening’s jump rallies will still go ahead, but we won’t be jumping — activities will be kept relaxed and low-key.

Thank you for your understanding as we prioritise the comfort and safety of our equine partners and riders. 💛 Stay cool!

We did post the twice on Bexley Equestrian Group (and surrounding areas) yesterday, but both posts are still pending. So posting on here, please feel free to share.

🔴 Strep Equi Update

We’ve received several enquiries about our current situation, particularly in light of the upcoming show at the neighbouring yard on the lane!

To confirm, we still have a few positive cases of Strep Equi on site. As a result, the yard remains in full lockdown — no horses are permitted to enter or leave the yard at this time.

The bridle route continues to be.open for access, this message serves as a precautionary one to highlight our current situation, so equestrians have all the information before making an informed and responsible decision.

Please do not stop outside our yard with your horse, and ensure you keep a safe distance from our fields.

We kindly ask everyone to respect these measure and help us to adhere to biosecurity protocols

Little Mascal Farm, including the lane and gate entrance, is strictly out of bounds with no through access permitted.

THE HOT WEATHER ☀️

With the recent rise in temperatures, we want to thank you for your continued support and cooperation as we adjust to keep our ponies, riders, and staff safe and comfortable during the hot weather.

During this period of extreme heat, we will continue to run low-level riding sessions and may occasionally substitute pony club mounted lessons with valuable badge work or pony care activities.

This allows us to ensure your child still enjoys a meaningful and educational experience, while giving the ponies a well-earned break from physical exertion in the heat. We also reserve the right to bathe ponies during sessions where appropriate as a fun and practical learning opportunity for our riders!

As always, long trousers are essential for riding, even in the heat. For safety reasons, shorts/Sandal/Flip-Flops(!) are not permitted under any circumstances. Please ensure you arrive appropriately dressed and have a water bottle to stay hydrated.

Thank you once again for your understanding as we prioritise the welfare of both horses and humans. If you have any questions or concerns, please don’t hesitate to get in touch.

MMS Competitions - Important Update

Unfortunately, due to the extended yard lockdown, we have had to postpone our competitions scheduled for June. We sincerely apologise for any disappointment this may cause.

To make things easier, we’ve enabled the refund feature on ECPRO—simply cancel your event entry to receive your refund.

We hope to reschedule soon and will post any updates, as they become available.

Please note that riding school activities are not affected.

Mount Mascal Stables is a large and modern equestrian facility with a track record of success and growth. Established in 1966 by the Window family who continue to own and run the business. Our motto is Horsemanship for All #H4A. We want to share the fun, interest and excitement of our sport with you. Regardless of your age, ability, background or circumstance. We deliver professional riding school and livery services. Fully approved and accredited by our professional governing bodies and local council, we are also a large Pony Club Center and our aim is to help you to achieve your personal goals. Please note our client booking terms are as followed unless otherwise stated. Advance booking and payment required at all times. Cancellations received less than 48hrs notice will incur a 50% fee, less than 24hrs notice you will be charged at the full 100%.
