Helping dogs with stress, anxiety, injury recovery and old age to live a better life. Woofs and Water provides a relaxed environment for a range of therapy for your dog which included Hydrotherapy, Swimming, Reflexology, Reiki, Massage, Red Light Therapy from a qualified therapist, who trained in the UK's best therapy centre for dogs. Hydrotherapy - helps your dog recover from injuries whilst exer
cising in a non weight bearing environment. It increases balance and coordination, rebuilds muscle mass, increases blood circulation, relieves pain, aids digestion, assists quicker recovery after surgery, reduces inflammation and provides cardiovascular fitness. Swimming - not all dogs can swim, like us, some need to be taught. We offer a relaxed environment where you can get in with your dog either for a pleasure swim or to help your dogs confidence in the water. Reflexology for dogs is a gentle, non-invasive therapy that involves applying pressure to specific points (usually on the paws, ears, or body) that correspond to different organs and systems in the body. While research in canine reflexology is more limited than in humans, many holistic veterinarians and practitioners report promising results, especially for relaxation and overall wellness. Benefits include pain relief, improved circulation, stress and anxiety reduction, enhanced organ function, boosted energy, improved mobility, supports behavioural issues. Ideal for senior dogs, dogs with anxiety or trauma history, dogs recovering from surgery, maintenance for working or sport dogs and digestive irregularities or detox support. Red Light Therapy - Red Light therapy is amongst the earlier recorded healing modalities, first used by the Egyptians but also practiced by the ancient Greeks, Chinese and Indians. Clinical studies have established how certain wavelengths of light affect the cellular level and be used to treat these areas. The infrared light penetrates your pet's tissue, muscles, tendons, and even bone to increase blood circulation, further promoting and boosting the healing process. This treatment is ideal for our aging dogs suffering from rheumatic pain and I have used it on my own dogs with great results. Reiki - an ancient holistic therapy, which originated in Japan, that offers numerous benefits, promoting physical, emotional, and mental well-being. This gentle, non-invasive energy healing technique helps balance the body’s energy flow, fostering a sense of calm and relaxation in dogs. Massage - we use a form of "finger tip massage" which focuses on the same pressure points as acupuncture but is obviously much more relaxing and evasive. The treatment reduces pain levels, increases circulation, and aids mobility. Massage may also help dogs psychologically through reducing their stress and anxiety.
