The Sanctuary provides a refuge for lost or rejected animals and fowl of all kinds. We try to find permanent and loving homes for the animals, when possible. Animals which can't be re-homed for any reason are given a permanent home at the Sanctuary. All the animals receive medical treatment when necessary and all are spayed or neutered. Barby Keel never puts any animal down, unless it is absolutely necessary to prevent needless suffering.

Our regular bread donations have unfortunately stopped.. if any shops or bakeries could spare any bread for the animals it would me greatly appreciated..
happy with short dates or slightly out of date loaves that can’t be sold anymore!
we’re more than happy to pay for slightly cheaper bread aswell!

We are OPEN every Sunday 1 -4pm, until October. Come and Support The Sanctuary. Say Hi! to the animals, feed yourselves yumnies at our onsite cafe and treat yourselves in Barbys glorious nik nak shop.

The mini bus leaves Bexhill Town Hall bus stop at 1pm and then Sidley car park bus stop at 1.10pm.

The mini bus service will run from 11.30am from Bexhill Town Hall Bus Stop and 10 mins after from Sidley Car Park Bus Stop.

If you’re travelling by car we have parking facilities in watermill lane (or disabled parking on site) 🚗

if you’re travelling by public transport we have our mini bus arriving at the Bexhill town hall at 11:30 then continually throughout the afternoon 🚌

Dogs are more than welcome but please keep them on leads as to not scare our cats! 🐕

For those that don't drive, our mini bus picks up at 1pm from Bexhill Town Hall Bus Stop then at 1.10pm from Sidley Car Park Stop. For those that do drive, fill your car up with family and friends. ❤️
