So the last of the doggies to be groomed in 2024 have just gone home so that is me signing off until Thursday 2nd January. I am looking forward to a much needed rest and can't wait to spend a lovely Christmas week with my family.

It has been a great year and I wish to thank all of my clients for being just simply wonderful. I have had ZERO 'no-shows' this year which is remarkable. If there is ever a need to change appointments my clients always let me know as soon as they can do and so a big thank you for this because as a small business every appointment counts!

Thank you also for all of the well wishes, cards, gifts and tips I have received, you are very very kind indeed.

Have a happy and peaceful Christmas and I will see you in the new year.

The grooming room is fully insulated and heated, so all dogs will be warm and comfortable throughout their grooms.

As long as you feel you can travel safely, I will be here ready and waiting for appointments.

🎉Happy first anniversary to me! 🎉

This week marks one whole year since the doors were opened at Posh Paws and I welcomed in my first four legged customers.

I would like to take the opportunity to say thank you to all of my clients for the support you have shown to my small business. I am very lucky to have such wonderful customers and such gorgeous dogs to work with.

Here is to the next year, let's hope it is as busy and enjoyable as this year has been.

Today I enjoyed a day of Continued Professional Development (CPD) at the annual 'Groomfest' show where the lecture demonstrations were held at The Kennel Club, Stoneleigh Park.

I particularly loved the masterclass given on a Standard Poodle where I was lucky enough to get a front row seat to be able to see Certified Master Groomer and International Judge Kitty Dekeersgieter.

This lecture was of real interest to me as a large proportion of the doggies that I see at Posh Paws have a wool or a wool combination coat type (such as Poodles and Cockapoos). So keeping up to date with new equipment, products and techniques are of great relevance to me.

I feel it is really important to never stop learning, there is always something to be gained by watching such a knowledgeable and enthusiastic professional at work!

I hope you have all had a great weekend doing something that you enjoy too!! 🐾

This is the gorgeous Reggie who came to see me yesterday. He is such a lovely boy who thoroughly enjoys his groom.

He was also kept entertained throughout by watching the farmer work the fields through the full length windows.

The gorgeous Lenny who came to see me today.

He may be small in size but like all Pomeranians he is BIG in personality!!

What a pleasure he is to groom!

Just a little note to add I'm taking some time off over the bank holiday weekend to spend some quality time with my family. So any enquiries or messages will now be replied to when I am open again next week.

🌞 Appointments this week 🌞

Just a quick note to reassure my customers that I WILL NOT need to change any appointments due to the continued hot weather this week.

The grooming studio has been built to the highest specification, it is fully air conditioned and is extremely well insulated so therefore the weather outside, come rain or shine WILL NOT affect my appointments in any way.

So, as long as your dog can travel comfortably for their appointment, I will be there ready and waiting.

Customers can rest assured that the comfort and safety of your precious pets is my highest priority.

Bettisfield fun family dog show.

It's not too late to enter, £2 per class or 3 classes for £5.

Sunday 7th May 12pm.

Posh Paws has sponsored the show and is providing some lovely prizes, including doggy treats, discount vouchers for Posh Paws Professional Dog Grooming, sweeties for the young handlers and a special prize for the supreme of show!

This week has mostly consisted of spaniels!

There have been:
-Spaniels in the grooming studio,
-Enquiries about spaniel grooms and -Appointments booked for new customers with spaniels.

Here is just one photo of the very handsome Albie who came to see me for the first time along with his brother Socks. They were both absolutely gleaming after their grooms. Just look at the intensity of colour in Albie's coat!

I have had a few enquiries just recently about carding spaniels instead of clipping. Some spaniels (aslong as they have never been clipped) can be carded to remove the dead undercoat which will reveal the gorgeous natural colour underneath just like In this case with Albie. 🐾

This morning I had the pleasure of grooming the lovely Lexi, a Bernese mountain dog. Her owner was a little nervous about the appointment as she had never been professionally groomed before, however he was pleasantly surprised to find that with lots of praise and encouragement she was a very good girl. Three hours later she went home looking and smelling amazing!!

My aim here at Posh Paws is to treat each dog as the unique individual that they are. I will work with the dogs to keep them happy and comfortable throughout the grooming process. I want them to go home having had a positive experience as well as looking beautiful and today I think I achieved just that.

Such a gorgeous girl, well done Lexi!!
