So I think now is the time to publically say an absolute love filled au revoir to this beautiful, gorgeous lovebug of a boy. I can't call it a farewell because I'm deeply hoping somehow we will meet up again for the odd walk and/or cuddle π
For quite a while now I've known in my heart of hearts that my own furry family could do with their mum being home with them a little more, and not just when she's tired and her legs ache. It kept getting pushed to the back of my mind because of my honest love for all of my furry friends and not wanting to stop seeing any of them, but it's niggled away for a quite a while.
But, over the past few weeks the realisation hit that the time was right to slow things down a bit and give my own furry family the best of their mum for an extra day each week. Please believe me when I say they have been total stars and have given up a lot of their mum over the years without much of a grumble but I feel that needs to be evened out a little bit for them now.
So from this week Woofs n Whiskers will only be open for friend walks Monday to Thursday. That said if any of my furry friends need help on the occasional Friday I will of course be there for them. All humans of our Woofs n Whiskers family have been made aware.
Sadly though this decision has of course meant that a couple of my friends have been affected. One I will still see on another day, but I thank her family from the bottom of my heart for being so understanding.
By far the saddest part of my decision though is having to say au revoir to this fluffy ball of love who I won't be seeing any more, certainly not on a regular basis.
There have been more than a few tears shed on my part and our last meeting on Friday was heart wrenching. Over the years you accept that dogs come and go in your life for a whole host of reasons, it's a downside of the 'job'. You build a relationship, in a lot of cases love them and then you don't see them anymore, but this feels different. It's my choice and a choice that is in no way Stanley's fault. That is hard and from my point of view gut wrenching.
Stanley, aka Stanners, you are one of the most beautiful, fun loving, gentle, funny, nose booping, inquisitive, friendly, lovebug of a boy I have ever known. Your zest for life and love for those around you are immense. You grew from the most adorable pupster into one of the most adorable big boys. I'm going to miss our 'Dick and Liddy' walks (and I know she is too) so much, and seeing you with my anxious Betty Boo was a delight, especially when you started nose booping her too β£οΈ
You've filled my head and heart with so many memories, memories that will stay with me always. You will always be locked into my heart.
Thank you to his lovely mum and dad firstly for trusting me with their precious boy and secondly for being so understanding about my decision. I've met some of the most beautiful humans through Woofs n Whiskers and you you are two of them. Thank you β£οΈ
And lastly I want to thank Jilly's Dog Walking Services for picking up Stanley's lead and showing him some new and wonderful adventures. He hit the jackpot with you, and you with him. Most of all I, and I know his mum and dad, can rest easy that he is in some beautiful and very safe hands. I cannot wait to see his photographs on your page and his new friends. Thank you β£οΈ
I'm going to miss you Stanley, a LOT. Nose boop your mum and dad now and again to remind them to meet up. Take care sweetie bum, keep being you and always keep your wonderful zest for life and the world around you. You are very special β£οΈβ£οΈβ£οΈ
