Not long back from a walk with these two. Nellie couldnā€™t be more reactive if she tried. Saying this, she has made a massive improvement and now is being able to be walked in public (just about). Itā€™s so hard to remember to be the leader on the walk. Itā€™s not about how your dog behaves, but how you respond that makes the difference.

Working with reactive dog isnā€™t actually about the dog, itā€™s about yourself. In the last few months of owning Nellie I have learned so much. Her walk depends on my mood and how my days been. Bad day = bad walk usually.

Today I spent yet another Ā£150 to book her into amazing behaviouristā€™s 3 classes training for lead reactive dogs. My anxiety is a bit up as this is a ā€˜groupā€™ class in which there are gonna be 3 dogs in total! I, however, trust Louise more than Iā€™ve ever trusted myself with anything!

Yes Iā€™m not afraid to walk a reactive dog so if you have hard walks like ours let me give you a break šŸ™‚
