We are so sad to report the death of one of our dog bosses, Minnie. We are heartbroken at her passing, but are grateful for her almost 11 years with us. She will be hugely missed by her human and dog friends, especially her housemate Megan who is very sad at her passing.We will work hard to help her through her grief, and she can help us with ours.Thanks to all our Andrew’s Animals past clients for their dog friendship and wrestles. Dogs are love. ❤️

It was the end of an era today - Andrew’s last day of walkies!
We had the whole gang out for a wee dog party with pupcakes and Mutt Butter bones. Now you know how we manage to get such good photos!
It has been an absolute pleasure looking after these very good boys and girls, and of course all the other many canine chums throughout the history of Andrew’s Animals.
We will still be doing occasional cat and small pet visits for the next while, so get in touch if this is a service you may need.
But to all our dog clients and their human servants over the past decade, we would like to say a massive thank you for entrusting us with your best friends.
A big hairy hug to the final eight - Archie, Charlie, Ellie, Lola, Millie, Molly, Olli and Pippi! We will miss you!

That’s a wrap for the dog walks until Friday 3rd January, but we are still doing some small pet visits over the holiday period, so get in touch if you have any small pets in the south or east Belfast area who need fed, watered, cleaned up after and played with over the holidays.

Happy 9 year anniversary to us! 🎉 🥳
We celebrated today with our dog clients and some homemade muttbutter and carrot pupcakes and banana and muttbutter bone biscuits. 🧁 🦴

The journey so far has seen us care for the likes of dogs, cats, fish, birds, guinea pigs, chinchillas, roosters, chickens, rabbits, snakes, reptiles, and a tortoise.🐢

A big thanks to our dog bosses Minnie and Megan, without Andrew’s Animals Megan may not have become part of our family, so we know deep down she is grateful for the business, whereas Minnie has been supportive since day one.

Thanks to all the Andrew’s Animals clients over the years and your humans, we could not have got this far without you all! 🙏

Fun Friday night at The Suddy Dog with Minnie and Megan. Minnie took to it like a duck to water and by the end was jumping in on her own. Megan took a little longer to gain her confidence, but by the end was enjoying being in the pool.
The dogs were fitted with dog life jackets and the pool water was nice and warm and well filtered, and the dogs got a nice rinse down and blow dry after.
You can also book for a staff member to take your dog into the pool for you if you are not into swimming yourself. We highly recommend a visit, worth the trip to Banbridge!

🤗🤗NOW BACK HOME🤗🤗Thanks to all who shared and searched.

Marina has went missing from her new home this morning from Glengormley Park area.
Marina is quite nervous and most likely trying to find somewhere to hide.
Please keep an eye out for her around this area and give the Sanctuary a call on 02894463993 if you have any information or sightings.

Happy (estimated) 10th birthday today to our amazing boss Minnie! ❤️
We celebrated with a day off and trip to the and both Minnie and her housemate Megan the collie had a brilliant time.
Minnie usually hates the rain and hates being taken out in the wet, but as soon as we got into the secure field she was running around like a young pup again, in and out of the dog tunnel and tyres.
We will definitely be back. ♥️
The celebrations continue with a new dog toy to rip to death and a special dinner. 🦴
We rescued Minnie who was from Monaghan pound, a year before we set up this business, and over the years she has been very accommodating with the business, even begrudgingly allowing us to take in ex-client dog Megan to join the clan, and she has made a few dog friends (and boyfriends) as top dog here at AA).
We hope she, and her housemate The Meg, (who is coincidentally also 10), enjoy many years and visits to dog parks to come. 🐕 🎂

Could someone donate a bike to the sanctuary?

We like to give our dogs the best chance of success should they get a home.

One of the issues our boy Red has is reactivity towards bicycles and we would like to work at desensitising Red to this.

Our Story

Founded in 2015 by Andrew Johnston, Andrew's Animals offers fun, friendly, professional pet care services in the south and east Belfast area.

Andrew lives for animals. He is a former zookeeper and active conservation volunteer, and has worked with species ranging from swans and foxes to mountain gorillas and great white sharks.

Andrew is canine first aid certified and has studied with Robin Bates Dog Training, Positive Dog Training Dublin, the Institute of Modern Dog Trainers, Dogs Trust Dog School NI and the UK College of Scent Dogs.

Andrew’s Animals is fully insured through Petplan Sanctuary and M&S Car Insurance.
