Happy 10 years of Andrew’s Animals today! 🎉
What a decade of adventure it has been!
We can’t thank you all enough for trusting us with the pet members of your family. It has meant so much to us that you chose us over all these years.
Whilst dogs and cats were the main pets we were asked to look after, the decade also saw us look after chinchillas, guinea pigs, garden birds, budgies, hens, a cockerel, rabbits, lizards, snakes and Gary the tortoise! 🐢
As well as our clients and their animals, we want to give a special thanks to Andrew’s mum for helping us a lot over the years. It was greatly appreciated. We also would like to thank anyone who recommended us to their friends and family over the years, including Robin Bates Dog Training, who recommended us to our first dog client Max the yorkie, and whose dog training classes and courses we helped out at or took part in at the beginning of our business. Thanks also to The IMDT for all the training courses and qualifications we gained, as well as other local dog walkers and other trainers and groomers who recommended us.
A thank you to Lisa and Maria, who gave us the opportunity in the beginning of the business to care for their three dogs whilst they were busy working long hours with Game of Thrones (and thanks for our very own authentic honorary Emmy Award for doing so!). Max, Belle and star client Jake (all pictured) had weekly sleepovers for a long time and will always be fondly remembered.
Over the years, we have waved goodbye to pet clients who have moved across the world with their families, as well as the sad passing of a lot of our past clients. We are sure there have been others we have not yet heard about, but we will remember each one of them fondly. 🌼
A final thanks to our own dogs, Minnie and Megan. Megan came to live with us unexpectedly one Christmas as a past Andrew’s Animals client nine years ago, and brought with her a lifetime of love, hijinks and collie herding skills, keeping all AA dogs in check. She still gets us up at 6am demanding walks. Sadly, as many of you may know, our other dog boss Minnie died very suddenly and unexpectedly in April from hemangiosarcoma, an aggressive, fast-spreading type of cancer with little to no symptoms. She was the ultimate sassy dog boss and befriended many of the AA dogs, allowing them to share her bed and treats and humans. We miss her more than words can describe. 💔
As with all amazing journeys, ours at Andrew’s Animals comes to an end today with our last and most recent client being Felix the cat. 🐈⬛
We in recent months have been carrying out small pet visits, but Andrew has also been working as a qualified tour guide for a few years now and has decided to step away from the pet industry to work solely on his other business Alternative Ulstours, giving talks and walking tours in the fields of horror and true crime, as well as cinema and theatre history. Check out Alternative Ulstours at the link below.

All that is left to say is thanks for the amazing, priceless memories of walks, litter trays, pupcakes and wrestles. There are enough to write a book. Tell your pets we said hi and if you can, give them a hug from us. 🐾 🐾
