💙🐾 Veterinary Nursing Awareness Month 🐾💙

This month, we have been celebrating our incredible veterinary nurses and all the amazing work they do behind the scenes every single day.

Veterinary nurses are such an important part of practice life. Caring for patients before, during, and after surgery, monitoring anaesthetics, running nurse clinics, supporting clients, taking blood samples, caring for hospitalised patients, assisting in emergencies, and so much more.

They are a comforting presence for nervous pets, a reassuring voice for worried owners, and an essential support to the whole veterinary team. No two days are ever the same, and their dedication, compassion, and skill never go unnoticed.

We’re so lucky to have such a hardworking and caring nursing team here at Braemar! 💙

With the May Bank Holiday coming up, here’s a quick reminder of our opening hours over the holiday period.

We’ll be open as normal throughout the Bank Holiday, with no changes to our usual opening hours.

💙🐾 Meet Naomi - our fantastic Student Veterinary Nurse! 🐾💙

As part of Veterinary Nursing Awareness Month, we wanted to give a special shoutout to our student veterinary nurse, Naomi 💙

Naomi has been completing her placement with us since last August, and many of our clients will have seen her helping with nurse consults and assisting on reception. She has become such a valued member of the team, always bringing enthusiasm, kindness and a willingness to help wherever needed.

Naomi has been a real asset to the practice, and while we are very sad to say goodbye, we wish her all the best as she heads back to university for her final year of studies. We know she has a bright future ahead in veterinary nursing! 🐾✨

What an incredible day at the Belfast City Marathon! A huge congratulations to all of our runners, we are so proud of every single one of you 💙🐾

A special shoutout to Shane, who took on the full marathon solo and crossed the finish line first. An amazing achievement! 👏🔥

Our relay team, Lauren, Hannah, Peter, Gina & Roisin, also did an incredible job, crossing the finish line just 5 minutes after Shane! 🙌

Thanks to your generosity, we’ve now raised an incredible £1,270 for Street Paws 💙 As a small charity, this will make a real difference in providing vital care and support to pets and their owners.

These two little dachshunds have been missing from the Seymour Hill area since 5pm yesterday afternoon, close to Lagan towpath. Please contact the clinic with any sightings, it's possible they may not be together, family very worried.

🎉 We did it! 🎉

In under 2 weeks, we’ve reached our fundraising target, raising an incredible £1000 for Street Paws 💙🐾

We are so grateful to every single person who has donated, shared our page, and supported us along the way. Your kindness and generosity truly mean the world.

As a relatively small charity, Street Paws will benefit hugely from these funds. At the Belfast outreach, this money will help provide vital preventative healthcare for dogs who may otherwise go without 🐶

Since 2017, Street Paws Belfast has been there for the pets of those experiencing homelessness, offering not only veterinary care, but also comfort, kindness, and compassion every step of the way.

We couldn’t be prouder to support such an incredible cause 💙

Each member of the team will be tackling a leg of the race, working together to cross that finish line and they’ve been putting in the miles behind the scenes to make it happen! 👟
