I can't believe that from today I have officially been in business for a year 🥰 from years of having my own dogs, cats and other pets, to looking after family and friends' dogs, to opening my wee side business and thinking.. I'll just take a dog for home boarding now and again... to being properly busy at weekends, holidays and even having some weekly regular walkers! It has just grown arms and legs which is amazing and more than I originally planned for 🤣. I wonder what the next year will bring for us 💭✨️💛

*SUSPECTED UNLICENSED DOG BOARDER
DOG PUT TO SLEEP*

Looking for advice. A friend of mine asked me for advice regarding a friend of hers who had used a dog boarder. The dog was with the boarder for a day, then appeared to have some injury. The boarder attended at pets at home and was given pain medication. The client arranged for the dog to be picked up and taken to a vet. The vet said scans and further investigation was required.

The client queried about the boarders insurance and was told that their insurance didn’t cover the breed (frenchie). I told her that is absolutely not the case and would only be the case if it was a banned breed then the insurance policy may not cover same. I advised that it was highly likely the boarder is unlicensed and therefore her insurance is null and void. I advised her to ask her friend for proof of license and insurance. The boarder blocked the client.

Upon further investigation, the dog was confirmed to have a broken spine and required to be put to sleep. The client does not know how this injury has occurred as the boarder will not take responsibility or explain to the client.
