The Little Pet People is based in Bedlington, Northumberland. We are fully licensed and insured and have over 40yrs of experience with cats. All chalets have
thermostatically controlled infra red heat panels. They all overlook a peaceful area, surrounded by trees. Some have diffused side windows so nervous cats don't feel overlooked by other cats. We also have larger family chalets for up to 4 ca

ts from the same household. In addition, we offer 2 large indoor rooms for nervous, older, sphynx or simply cats that would prefer not to have an outdoor run.

Mowgli has been great. Shes taken so long to allow me contact but now sits outside and shouts when she hears me. I normally leave her in her donut as her safe space but occasionally give her a quick stroke.

Our Story

The Little Pet People is based in Bedlington, Northumberland, and covers Bedlington and surrounding areas. We provide a range of pet care services, from dog walking in groups, pet visits in your own home and small animal boarding in our recently bought, designed and renovated indoor and outdoor boarding premisies. Over the last 40 years we have owned dogs, cats, rabbits, guinea pigs, gerbils, hamsters, cold water and tropical fish and a Burmese python. We currently have 2 cats, 3 rabbits (all rescues) and a bearded dragon. We have a real passion for animals and proper animal care. After looking after family, friends and neighbours animals and walking their dogs, we decided this is a service we should make available to others. From our own experience we have found that our animals (cats particularly) much prefer to stay in their own environment, but to find someone who knows and understands animals but is also honest trustworthy and reliable is extremely difficult. It is important to know that your pets and your house are in good hands to enable you to relax and enjoy your time away from home. The Little Pet People take your dogs in a secure, air conditioned van with individual cages. I am also CRB checked and insured for your peace of mind. Any keys kept for your property are securely kept without any personal information that could identify your house.
