And on today's episode of it's august, the grass is still fried, here's some happy horses enjoying their haylege as the next best thing until we have some well needed rain! We are doing a rain dance keeping everything crossed so we can have green grass again!

Another week of sun! We enjoy the sun but it has been relentless this year. We are feeding haylege throughout summer even after we've rested fields making it harder to maintain older horses.the grass seems to just fry in the sun even after resting. Their needs go up as they get older so we have to accommodate to everyone's individual needs. It's not easy but we do it because we love to give these horses the best retirement! So much work goes behind the scenes and we've got to grow with the ever changing weather which isn't easy. Thank you for everyone who is grateful for our work and appreciates the hoops we jump through to keep both the owner and horse happy x50! Have a lovely weekend and enjoy the sun ☀️ happy horses 💓

Mike our handy man is building a memorial tree bench to put in the field for our beloved farrier Dean Dibsdall who sadly passed away at 41 to cancer 2 years after being diagnosed. He’d been our farrier for 16 years and was a good family friend also. So in honour of Dean mikes making this lovely bench.

Abbie's little foal Darko (one of identical twins by accident) need remedial shoeing every two weeks for a couple of months. Any donations at all would be HUGELY APPRECIATED as they've quoted £350 every two weeks! It's going to put a huge struggle to generate enough money for this so any donations at all would be amazing!

He's by Abbie's homebred stallion and mare who originally came in as a retirement then had a foal then was offered to Abbie as she loved it at CHR and hasn't left! If we can't keep up with payments, we will have no other choice but put him to sleep which is heartbreaking as he's so so rare to be a identical twin! Anything would be hugely appreciated.
