They’re selling already so pop in and pick up one for your furry friend before they’re all gone!!!

As winter approaches it’s important that our Hedgehogs, especially the young ones, have enough food to be able to hibernate safely.

We have two 500 gram bags of Spikes crunchy dry food to give away. All you need to do is comment on the picture and leave your caption. All entries will be entered into the draw.

Great start to the season! Congratulations!

The ladies soft ball team got their season underway yesterday with a home game against Northallerton.

Bedale were asked to field first and their winter training payed off with Evie Lerigo (sponsored by Pitman Training) taking 3 wickets in the first over of the match !!

Bedale bowled and fielded excellently with everyone showing great skills and further wickets to Abi Smith (sponsored by Baytree Interiors & Ken Smith Timber ltd), Emma Lerigo (Sponsored by Pitman Training) and Laura Croft saw Northallerton close on 138-6 (net 308)

Bedale batted well throughout the innings but Northallerton kept chipping away with the odd wicket to keep the scores fairly even. Sarah Gregory (sponsored by Bedale Pet Shop) top scored with 16 and when the last pair went in Bedale were close to the Northallerton total. Vicky Walpole (sponsored by Askquith's Butchers ) hit 14 along with partner Angela Lerigo (sponsored by M&A Lerigo - Electrical Ltd) and lost no further wickets to win by 10 runs !!

Congratulations ladies, well done.

Were you in the garden over the Bank Holiday weekend?

Did your gardening tools let you down or have they been in the shed since last Autumn?

If so, don’t worry! Help is on hand. Mark will collect items for sharpening this Friday, 6th May.

Drop off before 10am on the day and collect the following Monday (9th May).

The final tally is just in and what a fantastic result!!

As mentioned, we sold 279 raffle tickets for the three hampers. There was an additional £18.52 raised through the counter top collection tin.
This means we have managed to raise an amazing £338.52 for the DEC.org Ukrainian appeal. We’re going to round it up, on your behalf, to £350.00!

A huge “THANK YOU” to everyone who has supported us! We really do have a wonderfully generous customer base. We also appreciate those who, after reading the window sign, popped in just to buy a ticket!!

Also a special ‘thank you’ and ‘well done’ to Chloe (our ‘Saturday Girl’). The event was her idea and she organised the posters, window display and hamper design. Another great example of our excellent local young people!!

Hello, this afternoon we drew the hampers and are delighted to tell you that we sold 279 raffle tickets in aid of the DEC.org Ukrainian appeal. For the small animal hamper, the winner is green number 3 and this hamper raised £13. The winner for the cat hamper is pink number 41 and we managed to sell 47 tickets for this hamper. Finally, for the dog hamper, the winner is blue number 81 and this hamper managed to raise £219!!! A massive thank you to everyone who contributed and also thank you to the local postman Greg for helping us draw the tickets.

Ukraine fundraiser 🇺🇦 We have decided to make a dog, a cat and a small animal hamper to raise money for Ukraine 🇺🇦. The money raised will go towards buying supplies such as food and toiletries for refugees via DEC www.dec.org./Donate/Ukraine. Raffle tickets are £1 each and you can chose which hamper you would like to put it towards. 🎉🎉🎉

We will draw the winning tickets on Saturday 30th April 🗓 Good luck 🐾
