🧘‍♀️ Horse Yoga, anyone? 🐎🤣

Yesterday’s paddock move clearly came with a bonus… Chance ( moved on to our track for summer as he is a porker ) has invented his own very unique way of eating out of the hay box 🤦‍♀️

Not quite sure what pose this is, but I’m calling it “Downward Facing Horse” 😅

Safe to say… they’ve all settled in just fine

He makes me laugh this horse 🐴

Yesterday was all about moving, moving, moving horses — shifting them onto fresh paddocks so our winter fields can rest and recover 🌱🐎

This is some the mares’ summer group (minus one who didn’t make the photo!).

Butts, bums, b***ys… whatever you call them 😄

These two—Ranger & Bob—and their lovely derrière have officially moved onto their summer grazing 🌿🐎

Ranger (the grey) has lost some weight, and after blood tests confirmed liver damage 😞 we’re taking a careful watch-and-weight approach to see if the spring grass helps. He’s 27 years young and still going strong 💙 ( *we as vets , owner and us )

Bob, who has asthma, is on haylage all year—so it’s lovely for him to just be out enjoying the grass 🙂

This is the Last time we see Doug … 😢

Naked !! As sadly Now he will be in his fly control Rambo sweet itch rug covered literally head to toe ..as he suffers with very bad sweet itch and will rip himself apart 😞
But we have found that putting him on the track system ( no grass ) from April - September helps so much - I personally think the grass triggers the itch more - I’m sure people think I’m mad but I really do think the track system helps with sweet itch .. anyone else found this ? Or am I trully nutts ? 🙈🐴🤪

Think Logan might need a crash helmet when he’s in the tractor with me 😅🚜

Off to the marsh paddock today with my youngest of my 4 kids Logan and following behind in his tractor is farmer Tom ,we needed to harrowed the fields, getting everything ready for the horses to move onto their summer grazing 🌿🐎

Every time he jumps in with me… bonk 🤦‍♀️ head meets tractor again!
I’m starting to think it’s less the tractor and more mum’s driving skills 😂

He still loves every minute of it though 💙🚜

Thought I’d do a nice calm groom in the paddock… the horses had other ideas 😅🐎

It was Margot, Tilly & Coco’s paddocks turn for a groom … got Coco done no problem, but the other two turned it into a full cardio session 🙃 Running rings round me and stopping for their own little mutual groom instead!

35 minutes later I caught them all finally!!! Lovely long groom complete ! 💪🐴
Not quite the peaceful grooming session I had planned 😂

We couldn’t even catch her yesterday…
and today the farrier arrives at 10 🙈

These two rescue Shetlands are currently on livery with us on our track system ❤️

Mango is pretty settled… Kiwi is still very much “borderline feral” 🙈

Today is farrier day — and it definitely wont be straightforward.

We couldn’t catch Kiwi at all out on the track, so in the end we let her follow the others in… thankfully that worked.

Her owner has been really anxious about this, so today feels like a big moment.

I’ll update you on how it goes 🤞

*they are the happiest “little two “ - when left to be ponies on the track system with their favourite 15.3 hh Spanish body guard Mina
But sadly people and any change freak them out
We will of cause be working with them to change this but slowly - they are fast /small and know all the tricks 🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣

If you’re near a B&Q, it’s worth popping in 👀

They’ve got these huge 42L flexi buckets for just £4 each — I grabbed 10!

They only come in a lovely sage green too 🌿

This was at the Yarmouth store, but might be worth checking your local one!
