Couple of lawn renovations, were we scarified, fertilised, over-seeded and top-dressed. Then we got the mowers out at the end of the week. Have a great weekend 😀

First job of the year was trimming the extensive car park, driveway, and roadside leylandii hedges at this property in Battle. We had great help from R. Sargent Agricultural Services.

Took the kids to see The Majesty Oak today. The Fredville Park Estate is home to many ancient trees, and we saw many sweet chestnuts that have been growing for centuries. The most impressive though was possibly the country's oldest maiden oak. There are many opinions about the exact age of this incredible tree, but some experts believe it to be over 1000yrs old and maybe even as old as 1300yrs!! It was an incredible experience enhanced by the sun coming out as we approached 😍
