Took the kids to see The Majesty Oak today. The Fredville Park Estate is home to many ancient trees, and we saw many sweet chestnuts that have been growing for centuries. The most impressive though was possibly the country's oldest maiden oak. There are many opinions about the exact age of this incredible tree, but some experts believe it to be over 1000yrs old and maybe even as old as 1300yrs!! It was an incredible experience enhanced by the sun coming out as we approached 😍

Small stock fencing job completed recently in Battle. Working with MQ Forestry to secure this paddock again and keep the animals away from the busy road. We also did a decent amount of hedge trimming here, but of course, I forgot to get a single photo of Noah's handywork 😄

Yesterday was a mission to pick up my new-to-me machine. 700 miles, 15hrs of driving, 140l of diesel, and borrowing a top trailer from Markus MQ Forestry (cheers mate 🍻)
And today it went straight to work! Finally cut the grounds of the new school contract myself, and hopefully many more jobs like this will follow, so it can start paying for itself! After a few teething problems, we smashed it out in the heat.

Finished a hot week off with something a bit different. Topping up an equestrian arena in Battle with Markus from MQ Forestry. Due to a late delivery, we'll be back on Monday to finish spreading, levelling and raking in, before reinstalling the arena fencing. Hopefully a bit cooler next week 😎

It was an amazing weekend of football at the Hooe F.C. summer tournament. Committee members, volunteers, and parents all pulled together to host a hugely successful event. You can't underestimate how hard people worked behind the scenes to plan, set up and run the event that received a lot of positive comments on the day, and was enjoyed by hundreds of young footballers, coaches and supporters from all over the South East. 💚
