Shimmering Shetlands became what it is today because of one little girl called Hollie! Here we are, several years later hoping other children love it as much as she does! We are a family run business who love nothing more than to see children (and adults) enjoy being around our Shetland Ponies. At your session you will meet, Andy, Laura, Cheryl and Hollie (the little boss) who will introduce you t

o the gang! We have Marco, Charlotte, Chloe, Molly & Ginny and our cheeky Tilly. Come and enjoy making them all shimmer with fancy hair dos or simply enjoy grooming, walking and giving them cuddles. We can't wait to meet you!!

We are opening up for pony sessions starting 1st March. We can't wait to be back 🥰

The sessions have a new format to make sure they're educational and have good value for money:

- 1 hour and 15 minutes long
- Introduction and pony talk
- Preparation of hay nets
- Preparation of pony feeds
- Grooming time on each pony (10 mins per pony)
- Feeding time for each pony
- Chat and questions

WHEN THE SESSIONS ARE:
- Saturday mornings, 10:00 to 11:15. First session is Saturday 1st March.

Good morning All,

We hope you are well and having a great summer.

We are busy here at SS, looking after our 6 ponies and 2 cats. As you can see Maisie is chilling out but Molly looks as though she is saying “what, more photos” 🤣🤣

We are also teaching our little one how to lead the ponies correctly, this will grow her confidence and maybe she will enter a show one day with one of the Shetlands and win a rosette!

All is well here at the Shimmering barn, our heard like not having mud to contend with and enjoy nibbling grass in the sun.

Today was our last Shetland session before we take a break. 🦄

We had a great bunch of girls coming to see us today.

Some did makeovers, some did pony walking - but they were all brilliant and all enjoyed meeting Charlotte, Chloe, Ginny, Marco, Molly and Tilly! 🥰

We're having a break over summer and there are no sessions scheduled for now - instead please keep an eye on our page for updates on what the ponies are up to. 🦄
