It has been such a very hot spell, please remember to provide plenty shady areas and cool water for your fur babes. We may be able to wear shorts and lighter tops but they cannot.

If you have an ceramic tiles left from redoing your kitchen or bathroom these are idea for buns or pigs to lie on to cool down (keep in the shade)

Water dishes as well as bottles as bunnies like to cool off too.

A clean spray bottle of cool water to spray a fine mist over them (avoid eyes) helps to cool furry ones. Remember and change the water regularly.

Same applies to Indoor buns, pigs, hamsters, rats and mice etc.

🐰🐇 Keep your Bunnies warm 🐰🐇

Save old Amazon bubble wrap packaging to put over outside bunnies water bottles to help stop them freezing. It has been a cold harsh spell with possibly more on the way. Check that the ball in their water spout has not stuck with the frost too, preventing your bunnies from getting a drink.

Keep bedding dry and pack plenty straw in to their hutches to allow rabbits to burrow into this to keep warm. If you have a cover over their hutch make sure it has air vents. Protect you fur babies in the frost so they can live hoppily ever after. 🐰🐇

Do not bring outside bunnies inside however tempting this is. They will start to shed their fur and not be able to keep themselves warm when you return them outside.

We enjoyed the company of a regular guinea pig 🐹, a new baby bunny 🐰, welcoming back a client and oldest guinea boarder of 7 years. For this old gent we encourage him to move more by placing our home grown herbs around to avoid impactation issues.
