This striped tag began as a small idea at our kitchen table in Somerset — a simple stripe, a touch of gold, and something designed to sit quietly on the collar of a dog who is very much part of the family.

We made only a small number.

Because pieces like this are meant to feel a little special — the sort of detail you notice when the lead jingles before a walk or when your dog trots ahead along a familiar path.

This didn’t start with a business plan. ⏬️

It started during the second lockdown, with a nine-and-three-quarter-year-old who loved making things and loved dogs.

I watched from the sidelines at first.

Then, slowly, I joined in.

In a time shaped by family illness, loss, and uncertainty, creativity became grounding. Healing. A way back to myself.

What began as a child’s curiosity at our dining table grew into Hound & Blossom — a family business built slowly and together for people who see dogs as family.
