William had another fab day out jumping at Tedworth today with a dc and 3rd in the newcomers. We also stepped back up to fox and had great spin round, feeling so good to have him back out and stepping up a gear. I just need to work on his fitness and strength at this level now 💪

After a short break from competitions while I have been busy and we have concentrated on the training, my own Purdey came out for two mediums at and won both on 68&69% with little improvements everywhere and giving me a really good feeling. Lindsey’s Purdey won her section of elementary with some great quality work, she takes the job very seriously so the aim at the moment is really about confidence between the boards. 📷

William was back on flying form with a double clear for 4th in the members cup at Wellington yesterday. I’ve spent a few weeks playing around with his management which seems to have payed off, he’s been jumping well so far but felt much closer to his best self yesterday. A good reminder that all the tiny details add up!

Oh gawd I remember that feeling 🫣 only 2 weeks to go to Fashionista’s due date and we get to meet her Toucento baby!

William jumped a good round in the newcomers at Tedworth last week, we’re just jumping single classes at the moment while he gets up to competition fitness plus I’m hoping we can squeak in a newcomers qualification before he jumps over the points limit!

Treasuring every ride on William these days 🦄 he’s been away from the ring for 2 years after a series of misadventures but made a return today for 2nd in the Newcomers at Wellington Riding. The absolute joy this horse gives me is magic and after 10 years together I’m fully appreciating every ride we get.

First freestyle of the year for Active Nuvolari and a good start finishing on 70% in the medium. I can’t quite decide whether to tweak our floorplan or not but I’ve got a few weeks to play about with it and get it polished up. Love this pic of the canter getting so much better now 💪

Purdey started off her winter qualifications on the right foot last weekend with an overall win in both medium classes at Pachesham Equestrian Centre. She’s had a little break from shows while we’ve been concentrating on learning the changes so it was a fun day out getting back to competing her again!

First ever show for CLF Kaleb last weekend at one of our favourites Tedworth Equestrian Centre
I couldn’t be happier with how well he took the day in his stride, at this point in his education it’s as much about the day as a whole as it is the time in the ring - he hasn’t been in a busy environment before so standing on the truck and going in the warm up are just as much of an education for him. He jumped a super round and enjoyed himself so it was the perfect first step on the competition ladder!
