IVDD & Laser Therapy 🐾
These two photos were taken before and after laser therapy treatment for IVDD… and the change in posture says a lot.
In the first photo, you can see how much she is holding tension through her body to cope with discomfort and pain. Her posture is guarded, muscles are tight, and she’s compensating to try and protect herself.
In the second photo, taken after treatment, you can already see a softer, more relaxed posture. She’s standing more comfortably, carrying herself better, and looking far less tense.
✨ How can K-Laser therapy help dogs with IVDD?
K-Laser Class IV therapy works by delivering therapeutic light energy deep into the tissues to help:
✔ Reduce inflammation
✔ Provide an analgesic (pain relieving) effect
✔ Relax muscle tension and spasms
✔ Increase circulation and oxygen delivery
✔ Stimulate cellular repair and healing
✔ Improve comfort and mobility
With IVDD, the surrounding muscles often become extremely tight and protective due to pain and nerve irritation. Laser therapy can help calm this cycle down, making the patient more comfortable and helping them move more normally again.
Every dog responds differently, but seeing changes in comfort and posture this quickly is always lovely to see. 🐶✨
